Fishing idea: %playername% caught a %fishname%.

Any chance that sort of message can be added - similar to how when someone levels up a skill?

If people nearby can see what kind of fish others are catching, or that others nearby are fishing - that might make them want to participate, or talk about it, etc?

 

As long as forced multiplayer is on us, please do not do this. The last thing I need is to be constantly spammed by people fishing near my property.

 

I think within a party, it might make sense. Outside of that, not so much.

 

I was thinking include it in whatever chat filter stops the skill level advancement message.

Now that I understand how "trophy" fish work, maybe only do this for trophy fish?

 

That could work - and also for monsters that get fished up in the future ..?
