Universal Chat, I feel Alive!

    I really want to thank you guys for putting in universal chat. How do you guys feel about it?. I feel way more involved in the game. I use 2 chat channels right now. 1 is for Combat statistics and the other is for ALL my chat zone/guild/local and universal. Its alot of reading that I enjoy :)

    I am cerious as to how some of you guys have your chat channels set up

    I admit I was a little worried about it's implementation at first, doubly so when I heard it would be coming in at the same time the game went FTP but it's been a great experience so far!

    I turned on the universal chat tonight after disabling it on the release day. It was too busy then, when the majority of people were excited to greet the universe! :) Now that the folks have somewhat calmed down and can hold a conversation, I think the chat is great. :)

    I have one chat channel for all conversations/misc (bottom left corner) and a combat/loot window (upper right corner).

    There's a lot of stuff that would have been great FIVE FING YEARS AGO....
    LFG, no death decay, optional sieges, etc................
    At least, they're FINALLY waking up.........

    I didn't know how I felt about it when it was announced, turns out I really really like it! It does a great job of making the place feel a lot more lived in and I love that it's an orb. It's that kind of Garriottism we don't want to lose. Nice surprise about auction/trade chat too.

    It's stuff like this that helps me keep the faith regarding the Single-Player aspects (Journal, Questing, SP PvE/Economy Balance). When treasure hunting comes in, I'll be totally happy with the state of multiplayer. Hopefully the population starts to curve upwards along with performance passes.

    *Goes back to praying for nice dialogue UI*

    If there's a trade chat, it'd be interesting if there were clickable things, like town names, that would add a marker to your compass.
