    Hi Devs,

Could you please enable Vulkan support on at least the GNU/Linux SotA builds?
Its not like its in the way of something. The Vulkan support improves in Unity with every release they do. And I would love to use it on my machine.

    Thank you in advance.

I thought there was a command line argument to enable it, like --force-vulkan or something like that?

Yes there is, but it does not do anything. I think they are not building with vulkan support.

ping @BurningToad : Is it possible to enable it for the next build please?
Other Unity games are working out good for me with Vulkan. I would love to have it for SotA enabled.

Same here, I would love to see vulkan added for at least linux builds. The performance in linux compared to windows is pretty jarring.

@BurningToad Are u guys using graphics jobs in Unity? This seem to crashes the Vulkan backend.
If you would use standard multi threaded rendering that should at least fix the vulkan crashes.

It sucks, but the reality is that there are probably less than 10 Linux players, so they likely have bigger priorities than this. The last thread where they talked about this in May or so (you're in that thread) -- said Vulkan support was problematic at the time.

I agree on the low GNU/Linux population. But vulkan also runs pretty good on Microsoft. I have tested some Unity3D vulkan demos, some other games that run Vulkan. And they all perform 10-20FPS better with Vulkan. So I am not sure what is exactly breaking Vulkan on SotA, but they should at least check it out or make a bug report at Unity for it.

Vulkan support will be awesome, I'm also playing on linux but client on MS is just better at the moment, by a large margin on my desktop (and eat less RAM) :\

Vulkan has nothing to do with Microsoft or Linux, that's the good thing about it.
Sota can handle much more drawcalls with Vulkan, and drawcalls are one of the major performance problems the game has.
Therefore i do not understand why Portalarium does not put more energy on a proper Vulkan support.

I know it's not tied to OS, but under linux is the only alternative we have (wine doesn't count, also dxvk translation layer isn't working well with sota client :\)

Vulkan was always enabled in SotA a few months ago. I would love to have the option to run on vulkan whenever we would like to. Like in the past.
Devs could you please, pretty please enable it again for us players that want to play around with it?
I know building the client takes a bit longer, but it is not like you are pushing out release builds multiple times a day..
