POT Keep & POT Castle Lot Deeds: How much tax?

    Its great to see these lots added in game for others to earn.

    I do think that alternatives to taxation should be looked at to continue to promote the housing game further. Its such a great SOTA feature to further encourage. I'd buy lots and pay a subscription service for this game if it meant certain taxed lots were unlocked to be untaxed.

    I actually like this idea...

    If they keep the activity timer going so that you do have to log in to keep the house refreshed, BUT, if you have a level of activity going with a subscription (like a $12.95 level or whatever it would be), then taxation is waived as long as you have the VIP status (subscribed) active...

    Or the Blood Reliquary... which was $10k to $14k (unless bought on sale during a telethon). These gave a POT Castle deed more closely related to the CotO vendor's POT Keep/Castle deeds. I can't remember for 100% certain, but I *think* the POT Castle deed is able to claim the water lot. I'll have to play around with mine and see.

    That's what I do. I did it for nearly a year to stockpile rent so when I finally started placing all my big taxable deeds I had a lot of tax credits. It goes fast!

    The POT castle lot deed that came with the blood reliquary can't be used to claim a water lot. I tried.

    Also the tax rate should be displayed on the coto vendor when you mouse over for the description.

    I'm sure there are a bunch of players waiting to purchase these deeds that won't do so until they know the tax rate. I sure as hell wouldn't :)

    Ive been playing this game long enough to know that simple logic doesn't always come into play here. The tax rates could be 10k and 20k per day for all we know.

    Okay, folks. Are you ready for this? Deep breaths...

    The tax is actually 4x a City for POT Taxed Keep -- 14,000 gp per day.

    Yes, the Royal Scepters do work to give tax credit scaled to the keep, for a total of 210,000gp of credit per use.

    Thank you to the players that contributed QA COTO, we're going to try next time the QA server goes up to get the POT Taxed Castle deed.

    OMG .. uhmm no I can't afford that no matter how hard I grind. The game would be grinding to pay my deed and not enjoying myself.

    14k is 4 times a city lot tax. Are the keep deeds 4 times larger than a city deed, with 4 times the limits? Seems you'd be far better off getting 4 city lot deeds and putting them side by side unless I am missing something.

    If you own a castle, you get the tax money from the serfs that work your land. You collect all their wheats and grains and the sell them to pay for the taxes on your fiefdom, so that your lord can raise armies and fund projects to improve the kingdom.
