where are the yule hats?

So I've been trying to find a Yule hat for the past few days to get in the spirit of the holidays. Seems like the ones you sold on the addon store are from 2015 and no longer around. They only one I've seen was listed for an obscene amount of money by another player. Sucks for me because I didn't start playing sota until full release. I'm surprised there's isn't a new version on the addons store.

 

There is a crafted one, but yeah we need more Yule hats and outfits. But I totally get that Portalarium gets bombarded with requests over the Holidays.

@Shift : That particular hat was only available through the Grand Tour during testing. As far as I know, there isn't another version of it in the game. The only place you can get it is from another player who completed that particular grand tour.

If I remember correctly, I think that was the 4th Grand tour so, there may not be a huge number of them, either.

It is a bit of a let down, not to be able to either craft, or buy from the store, something so "fundamentally Christmas/Yule/Holidays", as a Santa Hat.
I know you are busy tying up loose ends before the Holiday break, but I am sure many other Avatars (besides me) would be thrilled if you could find a way to make the hats materialize this week....

 

I want the actual hat that Starr was wearing in the livestream. The one with the Ethos symbol

 

There are two of them, the 2015 (?) red and white with the glitter glue ethos symbol, and the 2016 (?) red and green, with the iron-on-patch ethos symbol. Both were seen in the stream last week.

No recipe yet for one. You got it from the old Grand Tour Hat Quests. Those were the days when there were no quests except these.

 

Unfortunately, for some reason, I missed that one. [double sad]

 

As consolation, chances are this:

would come with a yule hat.

 

We really need to push this issue in my opinion. I Do not have much social clothing I use in SOTA. I'm used to Second Life where you can really make yourself look Unique and I enjoy that but SOTA would need 20x + the amount of clothing before id try to make myself stick out from others Socially.

BUT NOT HAVING A SEASONAL HOLIDAY OUTFIT? Baffles me That's Easy Money.

I went to the release parties the other night and I really just felt out of place because I wanted to show some Christmas spirit but do not have anything and I though a SANTA hat would have been plenty for me to show spirit and I would have felt more festive at the party.

Heh. Face it, we aren't playing an RPG, we are playing a mix of second life and the sims online with optional quests.

 

Sadly that's very true, although we must not forget the fishing simulator element too. Marvellous.
