When fishing in saltwater, it would make sense to sometimes fish up some seaweed instead of the fish or along with the fish. The most common would be kelp, although bladderwrack is a type of seaweed that was used in magic, referred to as "sea-spirit." Bladderwrack is often referred to as "kelp", but they're different things. At any rate, seaweed could also be used in cooking (ie. sushi). There is also possibly bogweed and pondweed for other water environments, but this would feel a bit loaded on, while fishing up seaweed would feel more natural. Seaweed could then be recycled into a type of bait, since its used to catch fish like parrotfish.
The stuff that is typically used for sushi is called 'laver' -- nori being the common variety in Japan -- but was used in Welsh cooking. Forms of kelp are also eaten. There is also something called 'sea grapes', then there are different types of 'sea moss'. Bladderwrack is also just the most common of the family of seaweed given the apellation 'wrack.'
Oh yea, and one more stray thought; it would make sense if it were common for seaweed to come up with things like leather boots, and other leather equipment, as if this gear were caught in the seaweed. Rings and jewelry, too. Possibly, seaweed might also come up with bits of shell or coral (or sea snails, again for bait).
Something they can do, too, is make it work like other things in the game like roasted pigs or supply bundles. You pull up some seaweed mass, then double click it and get individual fronds of kelp and anything stuck in the kelp.
I dont know. *shrug* The wishlist request forum is kind of new, and before it existed people posted suggestions in the other subforums here. It only came into existence after the forums were restructured a bit and I made the point to Berek that there were suggestions that didn't fit any of the subforums. So I just continued to post suggestions that fit into those categories in those categories, and its more of a suggestion than a wish, anyway.
Stuff was moved around There was something like a wishlist forum as a subforum of some other section and also was sometimes kind of a dumping ground for stuff that didn't fit other forums.
