Could wood pulp from the scraps please be added to material refinement so swift and batch will work with it? Takes 5 pulp per scroll and only being able to make 20 at a time is a time waster and tedious task. Thank you in advance for considering it.

They just need to add batch size and speed for components for all the refinements and productions.

It's best to just get stuff from the Brittany Bookseller, no ? That's what I thought.

It's such a basic recipe that has to be done in such massive volume that cranking up the speed to salvage levels would be justified imo.

1 pulp for 1 book at a time? Whats the point? The consumption rate for crafting is so damn high and the time requirements for crafting are brain numbingly murderous. No one is doing it for XP or gold anymore. You cannot find it for sale at a reasonable price and it makes little to no sense for anyone to spend that much time crafting it for gold.

They want people to play the game, get rid of the abysmal time sinks that drive people to do something else.

Not all books need to be mass produced. I enjoy creating rare books for the collectors out there.

There’s tons of wood weapons you can scrap for wood scap and turn into pulp. Why anyone would use books is crazy....

I have like 6000 wood scrap waiting to be turned into wood and wood pulp. One night I spent 3 hours turning 1000 scrap to pulp. 3 HOURS! I was just trying to make a load of new teleport to zone scrolls. It’s such a waste of time, particularly when you calculate the cost of Regaents and what you can sell the scrolls for. So, yes please please batch this!

Oh, all my scrap comes from salvaging the weapons I get from Mobs.

    Crazy here - yes
Books took almost no effort to pick up and make into pulp.
Now I have to watch to make sure I am not taking books that are listed as theft.

I used books to pump experience into Carpentry, Carpentry Salvage, Tailoring and Tailoring Salvage. GM'd all 4 and ended up with a nice bit of pulp.

    That's so broken.

So we can't use Refine Materials skills to ... refine a material... but you can become a grandmaster dress maker by ripping up books?

I don't think the OP's request is unreasonable. Unless the Devs want people looting books by the hundreds? Is that an element of game design that I'm unaware of?

Well, it's not like I was getting any experience for it. The experience was already earned, it was only a matter of putting it into the skill of my choice. I personally don't want to make 10,000 gloves in order to GM Tailoring.

I get it, but making a bunch of tailoring is kind of how someone ought to learn how to be a tailor. I have a guilty little secret: I made a chainmail tunic once. One time. Got 95 blackmsmithing. Could have GM'd it a long time ago from just salvaging my rubbish, but didn't want to drain my pool.

And making large batches of wood pulp is how someone ought to make paper.

Just because there's a bandaid available or we like the unfortunate consequences (gameplay perspective) doesn't mean it's not broken. It's so broken.
