[NEW DECO] Aquarium

With the update to fishing, what we need now is a new placeable container in which to store and display the fish we've caught. How about a nice Aquarium. Open it up and put your freshly caught fish inside. Maybe even have them swimming around, as they're magically shrunk to fit inside.

 

Yes! I was just thinking about all these beautiful fish they made, and they would look great in an aquarium!

 

I think this might even be a wonderful stretch goal, to accentuate Fishing!

 

It has been mentioned/requested before in stretch goals and they loved the idea. I'm sure it's something they'd love to work into the game but it will depend on whether or not they have the manpower to do it.

One of the concerns was how they would be able to resize the fish to fit in an aquarium... and I think someone suggested to make rare "baby" versions that can be caught that could then be added into the aquarium. I think that's the perfect solution as it both gives us another "rare" thing to go for and also can explain the miniature versions of bigger fish that we would put in them.

On a side note, if they ever do implement this, I'd definitely love to be able to somehow collect the awesome looking corals that are displayed in the "Fishing Expedition" scene and use that to decorate my aquarium. As a person who has kept and maintained large saltwater reef tanks IRL, this is something that would really interest me.

Love the idea! Of course, if it was like RL the catfish and pike would eat everything else right off.

 

The devs already said that they're going to add aquariums, it's only a matter of when.

 

I like that idea perhaps minnows could swim in it and we need to catch those to live in our acquariums



Another reason to fish. To catch and find things for our aquariums

 

Would be nice if when you hovered over the tank you're given the fishes sizes, date caught and optional pet names.
