Equipped pipe remains stuck to right hand when sowing seeds or reaping

If you have equipped a pipe (Ornate Meerschaum in my case) and plant seeds using the crafting bar, the pipe remains visible and stuck to the right hand while sowing. Ditto, reaping has the pipe stuck to the hand while doing the tool animation. (This also happens while watering, but there it's reasonable since the watering can animation is in the left hand.)
