Most time I fight undead, so I got them by loot. Before change it was one in about half a year. Now after change I got two times, 50 and 19 (Ravenwood and Spectral Mines). And I can't play very often since a few months!

When possible I am fighting about two hours on weekend. Depending on my rare time I can confirm they drop more often. And I believe the amount is more. May be about 150%.

So I would confirm what Chris told about :)

Would be fine to have them sometimes while fishing ;) may be wrapped in old cloth (and later this year inside a treasure map) :)

I've picked up a couple dozen so far since the change. Etceter Mines I believe was one scene. Personally I think they can drop from just about anywhere.

I guess I'm just unlucky from the sounds of it, because I've only got 2 since I began playing, and I began playing at persistence. Furthermore, I have 1900 hours of playtime in SotA most of it in 5 Skull or lower areas. When folks are receiving these are they in high skull areas, fighting bosses, or in a group, because I very seldom fight in such areas nor to I often fight bosses or in groups, so I'm trying to figure out if one receives more COTAs from such areas or while fighting bosses or being grouped up.

Do you do any mining or skinning?

Before this release, I had only found 3, since starting at release.

Yes. I gather every resource I come upon while adventuring, and I've always done this. Since release to be fair I've only played like 4 hours or so in mainly 5 skull areas including killing 100s of undead in Deep Ranvenwood, so maybe I need to play another couple weeks before I get a COTO drop. I don't play often. Only about 7 hours a week. I'm just hoping the new COTA drop rate is obvious to all players, as if it's just as low as it use to be. What's the point. Also, I'd much rather have COTOs drop in smaller numbers at a higher rate then larger numbers in a lower rate, so everyone has the chance to get COTAs from drops not just those that put a ridiculous amount of hours into SotA.

Hi all. I just wanted to let you all know that in the last 3 days I got a 5 COTO drop and an 18 COTO drop in Hilt Fortress. I don't know where the first drop came from, but the second one came off a Kobold Fighter.

I have gotten various drops of 15 to 70 Coto many times. These have been from all zones, both mobs and resources. It is easy to overlook the drops unless you are vigilant. Once in your inventory they tend to hide, being at the top of the inventory list and added to any you already have. I have not noticed any place where the drops are more frequent than others.

Got 2 drops of 18 and 9 in Deep Ravenswood last week. One from a skeleton if I remember and the other from a node.

Got a couple from skinning, so that’s a thing.

Wonder if you can get them from harvesting/gathering cotton/garlic ect

Edit: & wondering about wood too; while it’s confirmed you can get them from mining.

Chance must not be on my side at all then.. Since day one, I have NEVER gotten a COTO drop from any creature or location.. not a single one.

Since the change I have looted COTOs from skeles or liches in upper tears (not sure which creature) fighters in serpent spine foothills, the twin trolls in the snowy mountains road encounter, and trolls at ruined keep. None from nodes yet for me, though that seems to be most popular for a lot of other players.
