    To those reading...

    1) What lore/story elements do you think they would need to touch upon?

    2) What type of music/tone would you suggest?

    3) Who would you suggest to produce it?


    Trailer for those who haven't seen it: aka a gaming benchmark for an impactful trailer that made our imaginations run wild and was a great story introduction. Something soreley lacking in Sota.

    I love it. Shroud just isn't that metal though. Is there an edge to Shroud? In UO, you felt the danger even the devs were shocked at what could be done. Now, LB is scared of a virtual bloody nose.

    Just not the same game and it's too bad.

    I don't really think that Sota is much like OU and would require a completely different type of trailer. The UO trailer doesn't really do that much for me. It probable did back when I played UO.

    Just comparing due to its strong pitch of the world and our part in it. There are other notable trailers which also do this task well for other games. Im just laying the gauntlet down to get everyone thinking about an impactful trailer that sells the world.

    This right here is catnip to me.

    Till I saw THE POWER OF THIS FULLY OPERATIONAL UO TRAILER... As a grasshopper I thought this was the coolest intro I'd ever seen barring only Tie Fighter (1994) :

    I like the shroud launch trailer

    I like the one after it with a scene with nefario threatening the avatars too. The guy doing nefario’s voice did a great job imo
