    The designers (specifically, Bzus) is in charge of the design and configuration of the crafting system. The programmers (i.e. Tech team) only provide the architecture to make the system function. If some new aspect of crafting requires a change to the architecture, then Chris would get involved. Otherwise, it is all Bzus.

    April 2 Chris Livestream (Please bear with these as they are rough notes and I do miss things. I will try and add as I get a chance to see streams)

    What is he dong on the stream:

    Spawning more nasty creatures killing players that are present in a POT (too small text for me to read town name) - they give no treasre or exprience, but will destroy your armor. Trying to make a change so they will give things.

    Announcements:
    1. Livestream Special - if you upgrade a lot during the stream 1/3 you spend as credit to house. Send chris the difference and he will send you the house in-game. You have until 9pm tonight. Follow up with in-game mail and you can send difference of house cost and your credit to get house from Chris. If you have an expired house that has an upgrade; you can send Chris the smaller house and get the large size sent to you. No mention on additional cost yet.
    2. If you buy a new lot deed fresh, get 1/3 price toward a new house as well.
    3. Tomorrow Chris will stream the editor on Deep Ravenswood overhaul - he will be adding and area and cleaning it up performance wise. trying to keep time of stream same each day 2 to 4 pm cst
    4. Main reason do these streams is to bring new players to the game. Seen good browse numbers.
    5. PoT giveaway contest was not an April Fools joke

    Patch in the works -
    number of fixes.. still 2 more patches
    1. working on terrain (black and white issue)
    2. current fix will correct 12 maps with terrain issues
    3. adding terrain instancing - more offloading cpu to gpu for terrain (needed for Episode 2) Helps with creatures and poeple in a scene performance
    4. totem fix - Tier 6 litch totem will turn into Kobold 1 totem. If you craft a tier 1 kobold, it will become a tier 2 instead temporarily as an appology.
    5. Tomorrow patch will have drops for other totems if this totem fix works ok
    6. Il2ccp (compiles to native at build time) - performance fix turn on and full terrain fix in future patches

    8. Tracey Hickman book promises - Issues with rights with publisher and Hickman, Chris has nothing to do with this and can't comment more. Please refer to Darkstarr on this one

    10. Total amount of gold in game universe (gold and value of items) - 7.3 billion gold
    11. Do we have Instagram or snapchat? No, but we have a Twitter that isn't used much as this falls to Chris to maintain
    12. With Deed upgrade, can we buy expired or actual? Just store, but if you own an expired smaller size and send the house.. chris will send the upgraded version
    13. Biggest fans - NBNN, elwynmoon, shroud of the avatar - showed list of biggest fans according to points (watching and following not bit contributions)
    14. Is there a way to drop quest? Worried this can cause a lot of problems of accidental mid questline drop and hte large support that might need. Report a problem; so we can fix the issues instead of dropping.
    15. Cheat on bait noticed - local bait is checked first and this person was able to change the bait number to infinate bait. This person was talked to.
    16. Way to edit prices on vendors without re-listing? Chris putting it on the list, not sure of the difficulty of task.
    17. What is the magic on stability of Chris's shadows? Shadow cascades; high rez near you and steps of lower and lower res. Shadows are very expensive to render. Things fall out of cascade range and the shadow quality reduce.
    18. What settings is Chris using now video wise: on best, shadow distance on max, not using anti asling (this won't improve the game)
    19. Game term pronunciation talk - team has no idea, but it comes up a lot in discussions (i.e. Kobold and melee)
    20. When did Chris hear about D&D? 77, 78; Chris was on base with his dad and they played D&D all the time.
    21. Envy Bow - not changing it due to difficulty in obtaining
    22. Logic was re-written for control points and logic - lots of bugs in there. Players get used to bug and turn to expect it if fixed. Changes will be going in soon and should improve the experience. Not till next release. Increased spawn rate of waves expected.
    23. Taunt issue with agrro loss - on list for next release. Taunt skill level no change from 1 to 100 currently. Will fix to increase taunt level basedon skill level. There are some mobs that have wipe aggro ability though.
    24. Next release working on bludgeon.
    25. Performance work has been taking place so we can have larger scenes which will enable creature spawners and AI. This may cause some lot pets breaking.
    26. Stack of items on vendor and set item price coming up? Setting up a generic system of rankings pvp, crafters (vendor sales), Town crier show top dungeons, fishing, etc. WizardSmoke will do vendor stuff, next release will be working on ranking system. Undone will do data mining to fill ranking system.
    27. No soft wipe for Episode 2 - stuff you have now will be tier 1 quality items and you will have to get higher tier items.
    28. Graphic settings and what they mean: Bloom increases saturation and make things brighter. depth of field not that big notice. camera effects - ambient acclusion space changes; players feet and dark space under grass helps add darkness and definition.
    29. Tooltips - working on Adding toggle to change delay on how fast they come up.
    30. Not sure how overland will be handled in Episode 2 - single road or like Novia is now?
    31. Chris isn't happy with negative post on Elrond. Thinks he is a great crafter.
    32. Higher tier wolf to tame like Barghest? Yes, Chris might work on that in the stream tomorrow.. maybe red glowy eyes and horns.
    33. PoTs need three people; burning toad, sanio and undone needed to do this. Everyone should be back next week if you are waiting to get your town added, moved, etc.
    34. Can we get a fishing encounter style pot? Chris wants an isle of storms type pot - still discussing biomes with Darkstarr, but agrees fishing one would be cool.
    35. Pot owner a discount on deco? Trying to move some player deco to PoT deco instead and increase your PoT deco totals.
    36. Baby dragons be tamable and tame creature combat pass happen? Last release was on summons. Up to skill 110 summons can take on an Obsidian bear. Don't really think much improvement is needed. Water elemental got a change; increased cool down time for healing spell.

    38. Maxine loved Kindergarten orientation. There were chickens!
    39. Nerf chaotic poison with bows. This is why Chris didn't want to add poison to bows.
    40. Has the fullscreen bug been addressed yet? No, new bug Unity upgrade introduced. Crash rate has improved with this one, but this bug is one. Using the map on Linux causes a crash on some platforms. Looking for a fix, but it might be a Unity fix.

    Now that POT water lots are much easier to acquire (via in-game upgrades with COTOs), I'd say it's time for a tropical island sort of biome.
    Details of the crafting system are not "the big picture". And tech is about "making it go", not where it goes.

    Poison on bows should be on ONE arrow. Use the chaotic or festering death and that's it. You still got the great effect in, but no way you managed to get your entire quiver poisoned, so on hit poisons should only happen once (or a couple times, if you're double dipping.)

    I am just reporting his comment there, not a personal opinion. I am speced in bows though and don’t teally do much with poison like I should. But I see no reason why we can’t have a poisoned set of special arrows.

    I know, but it doesn't make sense. Poison on arrows would be a one shot thing (or a couple) because it's on an arrow, which flies away and hits only once. No matter the viscosity, the liquidity, the pertrudity, it's just on the arrows it's actually put on.

    That would require massive changes to the combat system.

    You could also say that one flask of poison would be enough to coat 100 arrows. I certainly couldn't get off 100 arrows in 40 seconds.

    Traditionally, it has not been uncommon for entire batches of arrows to be poisoned.
