Missing in-game decorations

You were saying on Friday's livestream that you have a "free" category for the house deco contest because you want to see what types of decorations are missing from the game. Trees and bushes are missing. The only way to get these is to purchase them from the crown store. There are no merchant-purchasable, craftable, stealable or quest versions of these items.

 

Here are my "trees":

 

What would be really cool is if we could remove any growable plant from it's planter to become a decoration. You already have all the artwork for this.

 

Pets are missing.

Functional lighting is mostly missing (see my bug report). What I mean by functional is "casts a shadow and has a range that makes it useable." Many lights have a 1m range, which is basically useless. Most crafted don't cast shadows, except the flame type, so you can only use yellow lights if you also want shadows.

Table top statues, games, soon the pipe organ, tea set, outhouse, .

And the solution to trees is not to make "craftable trees", it's to finally get "ground planting" in, and let us plant big trees in those locations.

A bunch of the small deco items like the perfume bottles, fishing deco, etc. That all went straight to the store. Basically anything added in the last 8 months.

 

Light colored pavers.

 

Oh, and the COTO store needs bookshelves.

And the we need a not so pathetic crafted bookshelf. As one person recently put it, "I made a better one during highschool."

 

Also I think the large set of cotos picture sitting in a large goblet like thing is cool. It would be nice if the cotos came with these 2 purchases. @DarkStarr

And yeah, some treasure piles that you buy with gold instead of COTOs. Why not?

 

We did get perfume bottles but they are on the crown store for 200 crowns. They are under home decorations.

 

Well this is true and if someone does buy them with cotos then they will sell them for gold

 

What about craftable showcases ?

 

That can be said of anything, and does away with the whole point of this thread.

Why not just throw out the entire crafting side?

 

Yeah I'm for crafting things too of course don't get me wrong. I am a big crafter. I do it almost every day. I'm disappointed we did not get a recipe for the in game pipe organ instead having to buy it for 20k in game. I'm still for funding the game and shinies too if they help. Having a craftable version is a good choice always imo.

Rugs - Scalable pieces with color specified patterns and borders

Pavers - variety of sizes and shapes, applicable to walls, ceilings, and floors, down to 1x1 mosaics if possible, to allow wall art, flooring mosaics, etc. (positioning items)

Furniture - Finishes (use the wood finishes available Crimson Pine - Grey Pine - Rock Maple, etc.)- Hardware (copper = copper, silver=silver, gold=gold, bronze=bronze) - Door panels - Drawer Fronts -
Make the finish selectable, make the components socketable...

Fabrics - HELLO!

Things that really suck...

Paintings - total lack of variety

The ridiculous ledge created in houses above the wall finish transition, that nothing can be set on...

Lighting (other than wall torches, done right, perfect) - lamps -vases (seriously? baby blue? Why not clear glass with water? Bronze, silver, copper, or gold? Are any of you guys married? Would you bring your wife a dozen roses in a baby blue milk glass opaque vase?)

Doors that do not auto-close, they seem to on public buildings...

Terrain level changes - too much jumping - should we have to leap 3' in the air to change from the ground level to a large planter that is 8-10" higher than the ground? While I see the aerobic benefits from a healthcare perspective for the aging citizenry...please consider fixing this. I actually have to put my beer down to water plants in a greenhouse...the sacrilege of it all...

Signs - if paper and billboard postings can have text, why can't signs, other than mouseover... My GFs tavern sign that includes the line "Our beer is so cold your teeth will hurt", loses it's marketing finesse if you have to intuitively mouse over the door transom

 

Chess/checkers.

Why should we get it? Because the table is sitting there empty.

 

I complain that the only way to get trees is through the crown store, so they add more trees to the crown store.

 

You know what else would be really cool? If we could place tamed pets as lot decorations.
