Is there any good reason why they nerfed the control points? Do they just want everyone to do UT now?
Control points should be spawning waves continuously after the initial slower respawns. They werent nerfed at all.
Are the initial spawns still unreasonably slow? 5 minutes to wait for only the second wave is absurd. I didn't even know the Vertas Pass control point existed until I learned about the other control points. As a new player (when passes weren't... passable), I killed the initial group, explored the area, and moved on before any sign of life returned. The only reason why I can think that such a delay continues to exist after such a long time is because the developers never tested it.
accoring to dev posts in the forums, first wave should have a 180 second delay till next spawn. final wave should have 30 seconds over and over
Thanks. I wish that were in the patch notes. I'll get out a stop watch and try Vertas again to see if it has been improved.
All you gotta do to see the difference is get through the last wave. If you arent getting that far you arent going to see a difference. Control points are for groups not many people can get that far solo
The problem with CPs (in my opinion but I reckon its a popular one) isn't the last wave timer but the first few waves. The final wave is kind of moot if you can't be bothered to waste 10 minutes on the first 3 waves. Hopefully they have made it 180 seconds as that other thread implies. Even that is very long for low level spawns, but it would still be an improvement.
I think we're talking about two very different things. To experience my complaint, go to Vertas Pass and clear the first wave. Assuming they haven't repaired the spawn timer, the next wave (the first wave after claiming the control point) won't show up for quite a long time.
