Tropical fish

These would be fish caught in tropical waters like in the tropical island biome, but would still use the saltwater fishing skills.

Examples

Snapper (for example, Red Snapper, can be in many colors)
Grouper
Barracuda (can be large, for example in the case of the Great Barracuda)
Kingfish (can also be large)
Jack (common reef fish in different sizes and colors)
Yellowfin Tuna (also known as ahi)
Parrotfish (attracted to seaweed bait, see separate thread on pulling up seaweed, and similar thread on lichen in swamps)
Redfish (the king of the fish, there could also be a King Redfish, an Emperor Redfish, ruler of the universe)
Snook (can be large)
Wahoo
Moray Eel (electric eels would also be fun, see separate thread)
Lionfish (more exotic)
Ballyhoo (tropical bait fish found in reefs, a type of halfbeak, from the native term bayihyo)

Already in:
Mackerel (can have larger sizes like the King Mackerel)
Mahi-Mahi (or Dorado)
Sturgeon
Trout (tropical variety called Coral Trout)
Bass

Also think about net and trap fishing that will allow:
Lobsters (and Spiny Lobsters ie. Rock Lobsters, and Slipper Lobsters)
Crabs
Crayfish (non-tropical)
Shrimp

(Btw for non-tropical fish, I noticed we don't have perch in the game)

 

Wow red snapper can get pretty big. This is an "emperor red snapper"

Something that might also be considered for a rare tropical fish is the opah, also called the moonfish. They could have it only come out at night when the moon is present, to be consistent with its name.
