Not sure why you think this is a taming improvement.
It's extremely useful to let a throw away pet hold aggro when taming a higher level creature. If people are careless with the pets they want to keep, that's on them ... they can always make an alternate taming deck with a blank collar so the switch over is painless and easy
Not sure how others feel about it but this wasn't broken and there was no reason to fix it.
    Please undo your "improvement"

I also believe this is NOT a taming "improvement".
So I believe this improvement should undo.
I think "Locking taming neckless" is a better solution.
    Thanks.

I'd honestly feel much better about the change if they gave us an option to "release" the tamed pet in the necklace, freeing up the slot.

Now a bunch of used taming necklaces are just going to get trashed the moment the tamer can get something better.

Great suggestion. Adding a lock / unlock feature to the whistles with the default set to lock should meet everyone's needs

Whatever the reason, the persistent bug that prohibits re-using a pet-linked taming whistle is a major pain in the (------- fill in your own body part). The original change to prevent overwriting was both ill advised and unnecessary, and the attempted fix to make locking optional still hasn't fixed the problem. PLEASE revert to the original pre-lock code until you can figure out how to make this work with the optional lock. It's making high level taming unnecessarily cumbersome and resource intensive.
