    1. Title: Random crashes on Linux
    2. Reproduction Rate: flaky, several times a day
    3. Blocker? Yes
    4. Details: see below
    5. Steps to Reproduce: just login and go to and fro the world and individual places
    6. User Specs:
    06/15/2019 19:00
    OS: Linux 5.0 Ubuntu 19.04 64bit
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3960X CPU @ 3.30GHz (12) System RAM: 64360
GPU: GeForce GTX 680/PCIe/SSE2 GPU RAM: 4096

For some reason, the game was more stable on Linux while in beta. I frequently encounter crashes when going to and from the world map or logging in. Typically it happens when there is the "Loading..." screen but the game doesn't start yet counting percents. This is the crash I see several times a session. Usually starting the game again helps.

The less frequent crash happens in scenes when everything stops, the screen freezes yet music still plays for a while. Then it either crashes (the app is closed somehow) or (infrequently) I have to kill KILL it to restart.

Please let me know if I can troubleshoot it further or help you in any way.

Here's what I observe: when a scene loads (whether I'm just starting the game or changing scenes), the client often hangs or crashes. If I switch to my browser (Firefox) in order to read the forums while the scene is loading (very likely) then the chance that the client will hang or crash increases dramatically.

    User Specs:

Your card is a bit under the minimum requirement:

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows 7 64 bit or newer
    • Processor: Quad Core 2.4 GHz or faster
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: DirectX 11 Compatible NVIDIA 960 / AMD 560
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection (Not required for Offline Mode)
    • Hard Drive: 22 GB available space
That could be contributing to the crashes.

Then why do I see the same crashes?

Actually I have no complaints about the perf. And my card has the same OpenGL support as the reference one (there is no DirectX on Linux). I think it is unlikely related to a video card. I could be wrong but seeing it failing mostly on loading an environment I would suspect that there is a problem with that code (either network, or an unpacker). A little bit puzzling that the second time it works fine and fails rarely.

You also have a GTX 1080 (Nvidia). Perhaps it could be related? Are you both running the current drivers maybe?
