On a similar note, Elania (sp?) Strongbow found one of my uber +3 line of bear hats the other day on a mob and sent it back to me... so I sent along a finders fee.

Will they still got to the loot tables once they're published? I'd have tthought if that were the case, there'd already be hundreds of player-written books showing up in loot.

 

This is a great question for a Livestream.

 

Perhaps we should experiment and keep it hush hush.... it could be used for a server-wide player quest.... we could quiety get it done before the griefers/abusers wreck it.

It would be a good thing when published books are added to the loot table. After reading this thread i sold 24 published books to the NPC vendor, in the hope someone loot them. And report back here.
I guess books are not found in loot, so far, because no-one has sold published books to a NPC mostly such books are listed on player vendors gives little more then 1 gold per book.

Books can contain recipes to learn and use, a background story or useful as quest opener for player driven quests.
But i am afraid that this soon is misused for cheap advertising reasons or as trash can for items of macroing up crafting skills.

 

Save that there is no Q&A included in the Livestream schedule.

 

Unfortunately the (pre)answering of questions got more and more a kind of raffle...

Better not having it furthermore like the last releases... sitting hours infront of screen and watching kidding and jokes instead of serious answers isn't a good experience...

May be we could have the possibility to buy a question voucher in shop for $1 each sentence?

 

So have there been any sightings of player-crafted furniture in loot? This would be a great time to craft a bunch of gift boxes and sell them into the loot pool if so! (yes of course they would be empty, that's not the point)

Do, did we ever confirm if crafted books, bulletin board flyers and paper that have been written on and sold to vendors make it into the loot table? Also, would there be a specific vendor to sell them to? Sorry for the necropost.

 

Multiple people have claimed this is the case, but nobody has really "proven" it yet. A lot of people have mentioned getting an advertisement for somebody's bow vendor.

 

I received the bow vendor advertisement a week or two ago, and eventually dumped it back into the table (or void).
