Anybody else notice the huge QOL boost?

    I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, either by players or devs (though I might have missed it, and for all I know, it's been in for a few releases and I'm just now noticing it) but when harvesting nodes, you no longer walk around to a specific point to harvest. You'll still turn to face it if you aren't already, and you'll move closer if you're too far away, but no more circling the thing 355 degrees because you were 5 degrees to the wrong side of the harvest spot.

    Whoever put that in, you're a saint!

    I haven't noticed. My character is still very particular about exactly what angle to chop down a tree. There's an art to it. He ain't no amateur.

    Thanks. I was just starting to notice this change. I wasn't sure if I was imagining it. I hope they don't "fix" it.

    Yes!!!!! I absolutely love this QOL improvement! Walk up close to harvesting node, initiate harvesting, start harvesting. No more running around things! Works on ore, plants, trees and animals. Thank you whoever added this!!

    I'd be happy if it worked properly, but I'm noticing far too many nodes that now have me gathering them from too far away -- skinning an animal or gathering oysters for instance, now have the animation nowhere near the actual oysters or animal. Trees, ore, and cotton seem to be working great, though!

    I've noticed this too. One of the nodes in Spectral Mine tries to send me around a wall. I bugged it, but its pretty annoying.
    I was really excited when I first read the OP here, then sorely disappointed lol
