Details: Salvaging lesser wands sometimes results in leather scrap instead of wood scrap.

Yeah I was just noticing this happening as well. It’s not happening every time, but just occasionally.

oh yes, since r67. it just says rusty, but includes lesser and shoddy: everything at that level.

Wands are crafted from heartwood and a leather or cotton strap. It would be correct when from time to time it yields not only leather scrap but also cloth scrap. Even when both type of scrap are useless because the leather from scrap and spool from scrap are more costly as using the normal recipes

 

I had totally forgotten that. There is the strap for wands (a cloth or leather one). Getting the leather scrap occasionally does then actually make sense.

 

Good to know, as this behavior is new with R68... So I guess in this case, the fact is, the scrapping is improved in that it better reflects the components that make up wands. Unfortunately leather scraps remain useless IIRC, as it is better to *not* use them when creating leather...
