Its a shame you can't see the stats on the items for these, would make the museum much more interesting

This is just the first iteration, many have requested viewing of stats already.

Actually hope it's optional. I might like to display a piece but not show everyone that it's a beat up piece of junk that looks nice or is on display because it has 7 craft fails on it. :)

Well maybe it doesn't show the item stats just the item name. We have a mannequin in town,Well it belongs to @Fiero Steele and it has a beautiful out fit on it. I wanted to point at it to see which items it is wearing but alas we cannot at this point.

I understand though that some are trying show the items they want to sell and would want to show the stats but if this is going to cause a performance problem we can work around it if we need to and we should try to understand why we have to work around it. Just sayin.

Some things we cannot have for certain reasons and then there are other things we should have that we hear reasons that are not valid enough imo. I know, I know a bit confusing for sure. So if the reasoning is that performance hit is too high of a price then perhaps we must enclose those performance issue causing items in a space that won't cause that to happen. So am I wrong?

lol yeah scoffer pvp'ing mannequins we don't need ;)

Got a couple on my ship looking like the helmsman and quartermaster. I will add more including a couple of bar wenches for the ship tavern as time goes on. R/Boris/El Pirata

Seeing stats on the items could be similar to adding an "inspect" option for players. If you enable inspect, others could right click on you (or the mannequin) and do inspect, and then get to your paper doll and see the equipped items. Sure, many would turn this option off, but then you get the ability to show just as decoration, or show off pieces for sale in your shop. And its a reusable system.

Thought about placing a note at the feet of the mannequins with the gear used but realized that I can also give the "container" a name, so now at Wizards Rest it's "Elven Elite Fighter". :)

Love what CiCi has done at his Resolute keep lot. He has placed mannequin shoppers there and you get the idea that's is busy with shoppers, love it!

Yes we do need an optional "view items" for mannequins. This is important for shops selling the wares on display, as one example. For me dyes and dyeable clothing. For others, maybe the kcvk ass stats on weapons they craft, etc.
