Eternal Founder Heraldry Pattern destroyed

I had used my Eternal Founder Heraldry pattern on my armor. I wanted to upgrade my chest piece to a different piece, but the old armor was still quite good, so I did not want to destroy it. I know several newer players who would have loved to have it. I used a Pattern remover scroll and the pattern was removed, but NOT returned to my inventory. I thought that was the whole point of a pattern being an ETERNAL pattern.

I sent an email to support @port and also filed a bug report. Is this what is supposed to happen? or did I get glitched? It seems like if the pattern remover is going to destroy the eternal pattern, there should be some sort of message that pops up and confirms you intention, like when you have to type DELETE in the Box or when you use an Obsidian scroll of Unlearning.

Thoughts?

 

You're right, it should be back in your inventory.
Should be found as Eternal pattern, I assume.

What sometimes happens to me:
I am using a "tab" where it isn't shown ...

 

I have gotten back eternal patterns with the removers several times, if you are sure you didn’t get it then it sounds like a bug.

 

I thought about that, I went through it line by line and made sure i was using the correct tab. Hopefully it gets resolved.

 

Are you sure it was the eternal pattern? You should have gotten the "Founder <Type> Heraldry <Slot> Armor" as well as a few patterns for the same slot. Those patterns are not eternal; they are one-use. To get the eternal pattern, you have to salvage the actual founder armor piece.

Could you check to see if you still have that armor bit in your bank or storage?

 

I used pattern remover lot of times and if the pattern was eternal always came back to my inventory, so sounds like a bug. You should report it as bug and ask support to give your pattern back.

I just used a pattern removal on my supple epic leather boots to get my Ardoris Guard boots pattern back and it disappeared.

 

I was told that you could use another pattern, (any pattern) to replace an existing eternal pattern and it would spit out the eternal pattern, while applying the new pattern.

 

I might have had the same thing happen on Thursday however I'm not sure it was an eternal pattern (some pieces might have been, some might not have been) so I didn't bug it.

The weird thing is after using the pattern remover on my helm, boots, chest, legs, and gauntlets, I got the boots, helm, and gauntlet patterns as well as four non-eternal leggings patterns so I think pattern removers might be set to only give leggings patterns instead of a chest pattern.

 

I think this happened to my husband as well a few weeks ago, but, like Sara, we thought in the end that we might have been mistaken and perhaps it was not eternal after all, eventhough before this happened we both had no doubts. He used no pattern remover, though, but salvaged the armor. It was founder heraldry leather.

This is apparently some sort of bug that pops up from time to time. It happened to me once (i.e., pattern remover and eternal Royal Founder Heraldry leather armor pattern in my case... ) and I had to request a new one from Portalarium. They were able to verify that it occurred from their logs but were unable to duplicate the bug. Never had any problems with pattern removers on prior or subsequent occasions...

That is exactly what my piece was.

 

Founders got the armor which could be broken down into Eternal Patterns. Founders also got 10, 1 use Founder patterns for each equipment type, Cloth,leather,chain,plate.

 

YEAH,.... Sooooo, It appears that I am getting senile or something, I did not realize that I had actual armor with the eternal pattern, which is still intact in an obscure chest named "worms and whatnot", so I have caused a fuss for nothing and I am VERY sorry. I must have used one of the 1 use patterns and never really looked at it. Again, Mia culpa.
