Any updates on the book? The last I saw was on May 1st:
    https://massivelyop.com/2019/05/01/...starter-reward-novel-fulfillment-sec-filings/

“That was our official statement and we said we would provide an update when we have more information,” he explained to us today. “At this time we do not have more information hence the lack of update.”

I hope 4 months isnt too soon to ask for another update.

I know the layout is really tricky but was hoping they've made some headway.

At this point an acknowledgement that they can't afford it right now would probably be the best bet.

I refuse t0 believe this. They def have the money set aside bc they are good stewards of the KS money.

Why would you think Portalarium was being sarcastic when they’ve said these things?

That would mean that there is something to be sarcastic about in the first place, don't you think ?

But to be fair the last update (which is not really an update) is not 4 months old : Darkstarr said that they didn't have any news here, in July.

It's sad that no compromise can be found about sending a simple book which was published and sold years ago.

I don't know. If someone wants to be sarcastic (s)he can be.
I just recognized, Montaigne thought, Eina Stein's message sounded "sarcastic".
Eina Stein's response sounded, like she thought, Montaigne thought, he would talk about Portalarium's statements to be sarcastic.
So I thought, Montaigne thought, Eina Stein's message was sarcastic and not like she thought, Portalarium's sarcastic.

And now you think, there has to be something worth to be sarcastic about in the first place ...

I just think, if someone thinks, someone made a sarcastic statement, he may be right or not.

Oh, my mind - can't think any longer about sarcastic statements :)

Do you know what just came to my mind? *laughing*
    This sounds like ...

And to be fair, this is also true - without any sarcasm!

We could use some updates on a lot of things, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Missing pledge and bundle houses offline, missing physical book, new bugs, old bugs still hanging around for years, missing leadership, missing direction... lost faith. I have asked questions in past got one answer from one dev, ignored by another, hear we are a year or so later and nothing has changed. I think after this next release, I am canceling my two rewards programs. Why give them anymore money when they can't even address simple questions asked for a year now? I know, you will all say so they can keep going to make the game. When do we say enough is enough? What sends a clear message to the dev team that we are fed up? If we had a lot of gamers playing, I would try to organize a pitchfork and torches rally and storm Brittany Castle while we all chant for someone's head!!! But since we don't have many players..... it will be just another release, another month with no response.

Maybe we should reach out to Hickman since he seems like the only honest person that has ever worked with Port in a major role.

Nothing much that Tracy could tell you. He wrote the book and handed it off to Richard. When they got the new contract, he wrote the additional chapters for book one, and the full draft of book two, and handed those off to Richard. Last I heard, he hadn't done book three yet, and Richard was still editing book two. There hasn't been anything publicly said about book one since Starr's last post.

I'd give up my book for a virtual reward in game. Port could save shipping and publishing costs, we would at least get something that doesn't have to "fit in a box".

Create something virtual and be done. There will be complainers, but at least the issue it put to rest. They did worse to Duke backers with the customized head, receiving a dungeon room instead.

At least that was digital for digital. Pixels don't replace physical items. I would accept partial refund though.

True, but that decision didn't impact 4,000 customers.

This kind of complacency is a major problem. People MUST receive the things they paid for. Your suggestion is ridiculous. A basic Kickstarter rule is that investors receive their money back when a promised item is not delivered.

That would be a lot of money to give back. But I’ll settle for getting my signed book.
