Beyond the Moongate: Part 2

It’s been a long road with a few bumps along the way, but with your support, we made it! The Kickstarter for Part II of Through the Moongate is now live and will launch this coming Monday, September 16th, which happens to be the 34th anniversary of the release of Ultima IV! Part II covers the second half of the story, from Ultima VII and Wing Commander up through Portalarium, and is coming with some exciting changes and updates.

Firstly, we’ve brought on a new copy editor for Part II and it’s none other than the very man that Richard Garriott himself named as “the ultimate Ultima fan” in his memoir, Explore/Create! Edward will bring both his expertise and his fervent attention to detail to the project and we’re excited to have him on the team. Secondly, Part II comes not only with many of the same, high quality rewards as before, but also a few new and exciting ones. Here’s a sneak preview just for backers of the first book!

• Part II will be available in digital, soft, and hardcover formats with all new cover art. Featuring a brand new front cover art by award winning photographer and Ultima collector, Enrico Ricciardi and back cover art by none other than the ex-Origin artist and creative force who brought us the bookmark from Part I, Manda!
  
• Manda’s beautiful artwork will also be available to certain tiers printed on cloth, just like the maps that came with your favorite Ultima games!
  
• We’re happy to feature another bookmark for Part II, this time by a man who needs no introduction to you, Denis Loubet!
  
• The last sneak peek you get is only a tease but we’ll give you one important word…”Akalabeth.”
