there probably will be no part III. Two reasons: 1) my computer won't play this game, and I can't afford a new one, so I've wasted $65. 2) An objection to one of my posts caused its deletion.

 

I am so sorry to hear that.. you will be missed.. I loved reading your story.

thank you fans. if I get over being so....hmm...pc term pc term...."annoyed" I may come back some day. The post deleted went something like (edited version follows): --Gerta sniffed, "I can say the letter 'r' and 'l' don't be insulting!" but then she grinned and winked again, muttering under her breath....."Eskuerel....Sk-wirel...****phooey." --I wrote the moderator after doing a quick search for the offending word (**** not phooey) that turned up many many uses in the forums.

 

I have not been here a long long time. And I do wish - after all this time - to add my comment...

There certainly is some level of, err, let's call it randomness, in the moderation...
Also, the objection could've been voiced at you directly, and you could've changed it. No need to report or delete!

I *do* hope to see you posting a Part III again!

29 Sept 2019.... I have a new computer now for about 3 months. I am in SOTA as "Mingo TheBard". My home is in Veritas Sanctuary, 1st player city south of the Blood River Bridge, 2nd house from the SOUTH Oracle. I have a vendor and sell pretty songs, cheap, 250g each. I have only now come back to the forums, and re-read the entire line of posts (well, I liked it!) ....I make myself laugh... -- if any of you are still around, I will check this forum more frequently now, probably not every day.

OOC: DO you have it now for the next 3 months, or have you had it since 3 months now?... Just trying to figure out what you were trying to say... Just want to know: Will you be gone again after 3 months, or did it take 3 months to find your way back here?

 

I have been playing SOTA for 3 months. I got the cheap monthly subscription. On my account I have Mingo TheBard an alchemist/mage/farmer and Frida the stealthy rogue. Neither is very powerful. "Prime Meridian" is our guild. Apparently I misssed the "glory days" of building the world, and I see very very few players. Good to hear from you Bod! Do you play much?

Alas, my obligations in the other realm keep me from being here very often, and yes, the population is sparse and may be declining, which is very sad!

so, trinity and bod, I missed the last four years of SOTA growing the world.... the player cities being built...the changes. The first two parts of "Tale of the Red Hat Gnomes" was based on supposition and guesswork... many of the things in it are not found in Novia. So, if I did continue writing about Gerta (time lord's cousin and adopted Apsara) and Kozue (Krisskar's daughter???) I don't know whether to make changes to the "setting" of the story or leave in what now proves to be erronious surroundings. what would I do with the Gnomes in the story? Hamster and Bluebell had much potential. Shall I do like Luke and just throw the lightsaber away?
