You missed some amazing Origin games then. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that remembers them, but besides Ultima and Wing Commander you also had classics such as Tangled Tales, Space Rogue and Autoduel. I keep hoping that GOG releases those three, as well as the others. (If you've played Ultima VI, you actually find books in Moonglow that references a lot of the lost Origin games)

For Wing Commander and Elite fans, Space Rogue especially would be a gem.

Man, the Crusader series was such cool potential, and a kickass predecessor for RPG/shooter style games. Also, the game had some very cool and still cheesy FMV segments during the times when Origin was making some excellent titles.

Been playing those from time to time on GoG as well. :D

Is this duel happening in Austin?

Will this perhaps be an opportunity for SotA backers in the area to come serve as squires or spectators?

Has the cap on Duke/Lord of the Manor pledges still been 10/20?

Well, the Lord of the Manor cap has a physical reason (there are only a certain number of original Akalabeth copies available).

Not sure about the Duke cap though, that one may simply be arbitrary.

Holy moly....they added Lord of the Manor 2 at $12,000 but with a new reward, one that is even more rare.
    • Akalabeth Cassette Cover, Framed & Signed. This is likely the rarest of all Akalabeth collectables. Akalabeth was developed on cassette tape and was originally going to be sold on cassette. Shortly before Richard was to self-publish Akalabeth the floppy disk drive was released. Richard quickly made the now famous floppy disk version of Akalabeth and very few cassette tape versions were made (and it is possible none were ever sold). Richard believes he has the only fully assembled cassette version in existence. Luckily Richard had already printed and cut all the cassette covers and he is now releasing a very small number of these extremely rare prints. Each will be framed and signed by Lord British.

/rushes out to the 7-11 to buy a SuperLotto ticket. And a Mega Millions ticket. And a Powerball ticket.

In other news....MMORPG picked up on the stretch goal and posted a news item on it here. Just don't read the comments.

I can confirm that this happened -- indeed, if I go looking deeply enough in my closet, I think I can even find the one I bought, though I'm not certain it's survived the intervening moves. Of course, that was several years and several stone ago, so Even should I find it, I highly doubt it still fits.

Hehe.. I didn't think the comments were too bad, just a bit of misinformation, like in-game cash shop... wont be in the game.. pretty certain that's been said right?

What? We haven't hit $3.25M yet! As of right now, we're still at: $3,226,157 Raised

We're still about $24k short, but based on my tracking, we'll hit it on the 18th! But the $3.3M goal just might slip beyond the 20th. Current tracking shows that hittng on the 25th.

Does that account for the usual Alpha release (20th-22nd) jump in pledges?

It's based on a running 30-day historical trend, so yeah. R1 got a nice bump, R2 not so much. R3, perhaps with its multiplayer...hopefully anyways.

As promised, now that they have another 6-pack Prosperity Bundle, I am now caught up with all them. Doing this once was so much easier than 6x over.

Yes, I dropped some dough on the new six pack as well. Little extra to the "pot". :)
