    is that normal? the strongest enemy in the game and that? Really? this is not all screenshots, only part

    I'm looking for something that will give me hope or interest in the game... but I can't find it

    Yeah there really needs to be better unique loot for the dragons. Something that actually makes you feel accomplished as opposed to a waste of time.

    Yup, loot is still as terrible as ever, but like @Gorthyn said, "Working as intended".

    Since for 95% of player base, the Aether Dragon is a group kill, that makes that loot even crappier...

    But the Aether Dragon is only the tip of the iceberg .

    Loot on just about EVERYTHING is beyond BS and it's a prime factor in why so many people quit this game.
    Certainly not the only factor, but a prime one.

    And Chris just keeps on smiling, thinking he knows what does and doesn't need attention....... (Actually, I don't think he is even aware of how crappy loot is in SotA, which is the saddest part.)

    If the drop rate was more, artifacts would be worth 5k each or less like It was before the Tiers addition. But i agree on the rest of loot table, bosses should give more gold, gems and supply bundles.

    What constitutes "good/better loot"? I wonder. That won't leave us circling back to the same place once everyone gets used to it...

    Two major design decisions that have mostly killed SOTA.

    1) The best loot is player crafted.

    Minimal excitement regarding loot. Thinking of a game like EQ that has rares dropping and the excitement created and desire for players to kill just one more boss in hopes of receiving a rare.

    2) No limit on character advancement through leveling.

    You can't effectively balance a game when the player can be limitless. If you balance for the 1% you ruin the game for the 99%. If you balance for the 99% the 1% will have all the power and loot. Creating group content is especially difficult since you can't balance a player's power.

    Very poor design choices from the start based upon a desire to be "different" rather than being entertaining.

    Cue end game crafter and 1% power leveler rage in 3...2...1.....

    Don't agree with the no limit on character advancement statement, there is very much a limit, and the people that push themselves like crazy don't really wind up with a huge advantage. The fact that adventuring isn't rewarded but just breaks down to a dry and boring business affair that feeds into some tycoon game a few dozen people enjoy is awful though, I agree. It's not even the crafters that are the problem, it's that everything can be traded, so there is no excitement to finding stuff. They should have definitely split items between crafted items and reward items and created a bilateral system where you can't max your character without actually going out and killing a boss yourself every once in a while.

    Indeed. You can only know if you are a player who spent hundreds hours playing this game. No one of them played like that, except Kor when he was a real player and dev in the past.

    Could be, only If that artifact you got is special :D

    I have never spend time farming artis in this game like top players and I have like 45-50 of those attunement rings. Imagine how many common artis top players farmed in last two years. "Special drop" is a rare word in sota.

    I'm sure they gonna improve loot tables, is one of those hot topics since the beginning.

    I guess a lot of it depends on what you're used to from other games. Entire hundred million dollar game projects have failed because "the loot sucks", so this isn't a trivial matter and expectations are high for a lot of people.
