Is there an agriculture bug in release 71?

Often I post something that doesn't work right only to have someone teach me something new in the game. Other times there was a small bug. Is this the case here?

When I first started planting it was one square in the planting bed at a time then someone showed me how to mass plant. I've done this several times. Later I learned watering schedules for different plants.

So tonight I picked up enough seeds to fill all my planting beds and 2x that in buckets of water. Placed the seeds in the task bar and clicked but wasn't able to mass plant. Tried clicking different ways - nothing. I then gave up and tried to plant seeds individually and that wasn't working either.

Any ideas why I can't plant anything either individually or in mass?

It appears you can't plant with coconut halves in your hands.
