compare it with wolf and lamb chops, which uses plain wolf meat and no obsidian. they're almost identical.

It would be really nice to hear from someone about this.
This once again just shows complete lack of insight into the entire cooking 'situation' and the relative difficulty/time it takes to acquire ingredients.
In fact, most of cooking needs to be addressed, but at the very least we could make sure that NEW items being added are at least somewhat wortwhile. Otherwise its just a waste of dev time to create stuff that nobody wants.

At the moment, there is NOT a +5 int food that doesn't require a rare boss drop, or a fish so rare it requires a hundred hours of getting crapfish (which have zero purpose) to maybe get to make a single plate. We already have +5 dex, +5 str, two versions of split str/dex, and the higher regen long term food from dragons. Seems pretty simple/obvious what to do with a new food recipe that requires more difficult ingredients than existing ones: Make a +6-+8 stat food out of it, or another +5 that lasts twice as long with better regen, or hell maybe actually put a farmable int food into the game. Adding in 'crappier wolf surprise' is just insulting.

Is there at least a merchant that will give the full tag value for the haunches?
