Aye... it should take 1 purify to remove each of the many, many 350+ attunement fire dots that can be applied and reapplied after each purify. Purify removing all fire dots still leads to meltage most of the time but every now and then the high number of active - and growing - fire mages leave a survivor .

A party of 5 working around the clock should be able to keep up with cooldowns ;).

Or you can use a bow and do a 700 crit on a shield with deflect x5
Or you can do 890 crit with x1 puncture woth no matter ur gear
Or you can Just spamm rend with Blade and i'll never remove cause Need to spam 3 knight grace for each dot

OOH, if we're asking purify questions, @Chris will you please make purify "have a duration" with specialization, pretty please, like the tooltip says <3

+1. I changed my spec to life once just to have that effect and was very disappointed/dead.

I'd be okay with all associated dots being removed with one use of a skill (knight's grace, purify)... can always reapply. If you think spamming to remove 3 rends is annoying (even against the 1 or 2 blades PVPers), try spamming 10 to remove fire dots against the great many fire mages. Rather everything is removed to provide fairness.

Hmmm, you mean give purify a real purpose? There's an idea.

no man. purify don't have to remove fire dots! douse have to do it!and this is not the only thing, he also remove all fire dots!
i need to spam knight grace for each ice arrow, for each rend, for each puncture and skewer, and they just click purify and puff! all dots clear. a duel fire mage vs ice mage same level win EVER ice mage. not the best mage. no who played better, just the ice mage. cause ice shield work properly,(15% less fire dmg), douse remove dots and also add 20 fire res. shooting rain remove dots, ice arrow give 50% slow each arrow (that mean, u will be EVER stucked cause ice mage cast 8 ice arrow, 1 torpid torment and 1 lighting on 10 cast, and if u cast 8 time knight grace u're dead, cause ice arrow crit 400, if u're using a shield and a water warding at lvl 100 like me, and if on 8 ice arrow he crit 3 time, u're dead lol. the finally solution is: or u're stucked and dead, or you're dead)
all that just for say fix purify :|

Purify shouldnt affect fire DoTs (specifically fire DoTs) AT ALL.
    ONLY DOUSE SHOULD.

I agree with you guys kinda but isn't it much easier to apply many fire dots then the other things you listed? Rend, puncture, and skewer have to be done very close to opponent, but fire arrow can get over 50+ range correct? Throw a ring of fire down in the right spot and reapply immolation when target closes in if they torpid you. All while being able to heal easier because your damage is over time instead of direct. Stun them and let em burn... I don't know, is it really that bad purify can remove them all quick?

yep. just cause if u have a ice shield, u take less damage from fire, douse remove one dot, but is more quick than purify, if we do a proof, u stay and just heal you and cast purify/douse properly (don't making purify in cd) u will never die. tested with Kinetic Fed (water/life spec) a month ago
