Manually multi boxing 5 characters in Shroud of the Avatar

If I were to do this I would have 5 dead avatars instead of just one.

(That is, IF my machine / network didn't crash first.)

 

My computer would explode if I tried this.

 

I find multiboxing useful in crafting. instead of 20 cotton threads every 2 minutes or so being made at a time. I can make 100 every 2 minutes instead.

 

What is the purpose of this?
Scare potential new players away?
You know, that multiboxing at this cale is a no go for the majority, right?

 

@DreadPirate Keep doing you. Multiboxing has been around since the beginning and the game hasn't died because of it. The game was dying because people were not having enough fun.

 

I sure don't go to 5 on 1 computer lol.

But i hit 3 at once (main computer 1 steam, 1 Portalarium and 1 Portalarium on my lap top.)

Fighting.
To me trying to fight would be a pain and I bet I could do more solo too.

Crafting.
As said above, I can also save a lot of time breaking down material running multi accounts.

I see no problem if people are actualy there playing the accounts.

 

Waiting for someone with 8 accounts of archers with taming spec with 3k HP obsidian destroyers wandering around now. Apologies to any new players that think this is what Shroud is about.

Not to divert OP's intent, but not sure I understand the negative reference to an archer with a 3k HP obsidian destroyer pet...

I am an archer with a 3k pet.

When faced with a choice, either find the most effective way to be an archer in PVE, or no longer be an archer, I chose taming. Why would any new player that wants to play an archer not choose to have a 3k pet that can effectively tank?

 

So wait.. Multiboxing is allowed?

I've been re-reading everything I can find. There was a post by Berek in 2016 where he said there were no rules against it at that time. However I was under the impression this was later disallowed. Did I miss something?

 

I have also done this with my five accounts, however, in reality I cannot play more than two at a time.
Plus I use two monitors.

 

Why are you thinking that multiboxing should not be allowed?
How is this different from having two computer systems and two accounts in game?

 

How does this involve having more than one account?

It would involve quite a low of RAM, and heavy GPU in the system.

 

In an open pvp game multiboxers are floating candies. Rolleyes

check 8 fire+heal firemages with broadcasting on clock dragon ) 800~ ingots per hour

 

even if my computer was capable or good enough (which is not) I don't think I can do that... at most, I can listen to music while I play or watch a video...

@devilcult 5x experience and 5x carry weight are some nice advantages. I do wonder if its worth it sometimes though. If you can clear faster than this solo i'd love to see it

@Senash Kasigal I've had many requests but most recently I have been experiencing a lot of grief from players accusing me of botting and then spawn killing me. I'm happy to die in pvp but when the fight is over and I would like to leave I don't think it is fair to endless spawn kill players. Hopefully this video puts an end to those accusations of botting and the griefing will now stop.

@Senash Kasigal 3 years ago when I started playing it was a no go for me too. It took a lot of time and effort and money to get to this point. If anyone else works as long and hard as I have they can do this to. In fact its probably a lot easier and cheaper to do now.
