The big win of 2019 - Mannequins

Obviously this is my opinion.

I think mannequins were the big win last year. I have visited many POTs and shops where they have been used to great effect. More than once I have come upon one and thought it was a person. Carefully used in POTs, gazing in windows, etc, it makes the place come alive.

Player events have used them well. The "Welcome Quest" being the latest one I saw, the mannequins bringing a lot of extra feels to the presentation. Great job on that @Minerva and/or whoever it was that put it together.

They are also fantastic for the displaying of gear, the most obvious of uses.

Additionally, they came with good quality crafted versions.

They give me hope that when real player NPCs are introduced, we will be able to populate our places and truly bring that "busy environment" feel that so many other games have. People sitting and chatting, cooks cooking, promenaders promenading, etc. Some with conversation, others perhaps not.

Great job on the mannequins developers.

 

I think they're one of a number of excellent additions in 2019. However, they still need work as the mannequin pokes through a lot of items.

 

3 cheers and a show of gratitude for mannequins! Also a win for the economy!

 

Seriously, I would love to see how many forests were felled for mannequins.
