Hi, I have been playing this since closed Beta, and been on and off several times. I mostly log into the game here and there for the last few months. Lately I have more hours in the game and I am wondering how to earn gold in the game now?

Back then, my guildies would take me to one of the mines and while we killed some kobolds, we would mine silver, onyx and some other gems. We then turned those fragments and sold them in our on vendors. So, I have only a few numbers of questions:

    1. Is this still one of the best way to make some gold?

    2. Which NPC towns or POTs are best for putting a vendor?

    3. What do most players buy that we can sell on our vendors?

Thank you for any help or suggestions.

A single piece of wood is worth 100+ gold right now.

    Beetle carapaces are worth 2000+.

Silver is about 95 last I heard, gold a bit less.

You can offload most if not all of that at the swap meets on Sunday, in about half an hour. I have seen people sell 500,000g worth of materials in one swoop.

There are also buy orders up at various market towns around Central Brittany. Or ask the governors there for a spot and set up your stall!

Thank you! Which spot is the best for setting up the stall?
Yup, I do sell most of my loots to NPC vendors. Where is the best spot for better loot to be sold to NPC vendors?

By stall I do mean use your lot deed and claim a place. I would go through the market towns near Central Brittany and find one you like, then send an in game mail to the governor and ask for a spot.

If you don't have a deed, you can get one by completing one of the Outskirts and telling the main NPC "Deed".

Don't forget to pay the taxes until you upgrade the deed to Tax Free, look in "Lot Deeds" window to find them. They are 250g a day.

Best place to sell stuff to NPCs is to the Weapons Merchant in Desolis.

Certain npcs pay more for items too, I believe the blacksmith in Soltown, Brittany Estates, and Owls head will pay you more then other npcs. Im sure there are others too. This is where you want to sell your rusty swords, shoddy bows etc.

As for gathered ingredients like wood and ore, I keep orders filled daily on my vendors in Soltown and Novia Market. I don't pay the highest prices out there, but if you're looking for convenience I restock them daily and have smaller orders (1,5,10,25 etc) to help out new players.

If you want to get the most gold for your items you can advertise in the trade channel to sell your goods too.

Silverdale Market has spots still open, form time to time the front and inner square lots open up for grabs.

if you want a spot look me up Xee and or Nomad Nevermore or Dysis in game.

I suggest you buy a membership and support this game, 1 perk is you get 900 cotos (I sell mine for around 200 gold each, have found many player vendors "buying" for same price), so each month you can make 180k for actually doing nothing...

-gather resources (sell if you like), but refine them to next level and sell for more...
-it depends on how many gems you get accumulated before you sell, I still would refine them into Warding & Attunement gems/jewels for more profit...
-secret: you need to undercut your competition to make sales... If you price them at the same price "why" would anyone buy from you? When there is someone much closer than you, to buy from...
-placing "buy"orders on you vendor will entice other gatherers to sell their resources to you, for quick cash: then mark up fairly to resell or refine to next refinement level... before reselling...

Train until you are comfortable in tier 5 zones; train harvesting tree; collect beetle carapace; sell

Wow, I have 690,000 gold worth of beetle carapace?! That value is insane considering it takes like 40 to make a full suit of hardened leather armor.

Yepp they are insane expensive. Though I never sell mine at that price ^^

Now that I am done with product placement: do they drop from home grown cotton as well or only out in the wilds?

I grow a ton of cotton and have never gotten a beetle carapace. Those who have massive growing fields might have another opinion.
