Game in Brittany Fields (Possible SPOILERS)

Ah, that makes sense. I always thought those designations were Release numbers, but yea, map regions does make more sense.

 

You see, this is the kind of stuff we need more of!

I had never heard of this quest until this post, but it was a lot of fun figuring out. It took me more hours than I care to admit tracking down all the notes and eventually finding the prize. Yet it was thoroughly enjoyable. I wish more stuff like this was implemented into the game instead of just combat grindfests.

 

15 gold. That has got to be the most SotA quest reward ever.

I agree. Now if only we could figure out / finish that other quest with clues left by SENET...

 

We stumbled across this quest a couple of years ago and one step was actually broken - it was Lum that we spoke to about it to get it fixed at the time, I got the impression it was 'his' quest from the conversation.

And yes, I agree we need more things like this, four of us blew an entire evening scouring every inch of the scene doing it.

 

Early on, one of the things to find was not there. Or rather, it might have been there, but completely inside another object. That was eventually resolved, and then the next step took me FOREVER to solve. That may or may not have been broken as well. Anyway, after a couple years of not really playing and only coming in every few months to see if this quest was fixed, I finally cheated. I was onto it just like so many others, but failed to find the final goal.

 

There are a bunch of coded notes in the new Bunker C scene. One of them (in a non-coded section) mentions Senet. He's back! (Kudos to @Sannio on this one.)

 

Unfortunately, the original Senet/coded letter thread is locked. This is what I found today, no idea if it's all of them or not.

The notes that you reference are indeed a continuation of a previously unfinished puzzle or quest or something...
I am not sure if these newest notes (placed by @Sannio) are to conclude the unfinished story line, or if they are meant to continue it (with more to come perhaps?)

In the puzzle thread, I posted about the coded notes as an unfinished puzzle/quest in December 2019, and @Daxxe Diggler followed up with a post summarizing his work (and the work of others) that revealed more detail about the notes and how to decode them.

I only found 3 different coded notes in Bunker C also.
I have added the translation of the 3 newest notes to my post in the puzzle thread.
Hopefully this story line will continue and blossom into something really cool.

So ... I got the fourth letter and follow the "Follow the road" directions. As best I can tell, it led me to a bridge where a guard was standing. I engaged him in conversation and he sort of walked away ... I started auto-path-finding, so I just "went with it" and it took me to a place by the stream. There's an apple laying at my feet...

Figuring that it was just a weird fluke, I went to talk to him again. This time I auto-walked to the other side of the stream, where he had walked to.
