What are the things people generally look for in bows/wands and staffs?

    Materials, bonuses, etc.

    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks

    For wands and staves

Materials: carapacian strap for spell critical chance.

    Enchantments:
    1- Magic attumenent
2- specific spell damage or School bonus.

I believe that if you socket a gem to them 1st before you Masterwork/Enchant, you will get more options(random selection) to add depending on the type of gem you socket to them...

Ashen heartwood isn't horrible either. It gives a nice boost to your max focus and adds spell damage. I usually recommend those for lower to mid level mages that don't have as big of a focus pool yet.

Joe nailed it tho with his post.

Yes, that's the only way to get the attunement and specific spell damage and school bonus enchants. It only effects enchanting though, has nothing to do with masterworks.
