Remember in 2017 when we said the right arrow is terribly small and invisible and leads to countless hours (tens of thousands by now) of confusion for players? And when we talk to new players and have to tell them it exists?

    A solution has been found!

Bit tricky seeing with bright carpet/grass etc behind. One of my monitors seems to have a little trouble seeing it too as it makes darks a bit too dark. Its not too bad when dark things are behind, I added the extra text so people wouldn't miss them haha

Tried reducing conversation options to fit more visable options but seems to max out at three per "page".

love the dialogue system in general, My lot has gained a lot more life and character.

I don't know, if I should laugh or cry ...
Well, if the arrow would be at least highlighted ...

We will see, what lua will make possible ... and, of course, Episode 2 UI overhaul ...

Was it mentioned only to be used for combat stuff?

It is a scripting language and could be used for alot of things.

    For example:
How shall we connect items to a self created (ink) quest?
    1. Chris has to provide tools [connect item to npc]
    or
    2. Chris provides possibilities via lua ...

Somehow player made quests have to be connected to quest items and rewards like XP / gold ...

I know it's possible but I have my doubts. Development seems to have moved on already, now that the combat stuff is handled.

Either way, it's a game developers responsibility to provide at least an Average UI, even if they can't make a Good one. Those arrows have been confusing people for years now, and they are what the noobs see.

To me it was pretty telling and funny that the very first player NPC I talked to was trying to fix the invisible right arrow. And no, this isn't my NPC, still on the fence about buying one. The dialog comes out blurry, most of the NPCs are ugly, haven't decided.

Or maybe I could get one just to point out that arrow for noobs. If anyone wants to sponsor as a public service, feel free, I'll set up a tutorial NPC.

Also I thought a program called Inky was going to be for NPC conversations.

That's what it's for. You're looking at the output in the screenshot.

Yes, that's the way to feed NPC with (quest) text.

But if we want to have a quest, for example: an item somebody has to find and bring back (like a key), there must be a way to connect items to a NPC (text) and also a possibility to connect a reward, like xp, gold ...

Therefor we need a kind of dev programmed tool or a possibility to handle it with lua.
I am excited how this will be provided until end of year :)

Yes, maybe they can provide -cheap- patterns for other looks or possibility to use ink text with existing npc's ...
