If I am in a warring guild in PvP And my entire town or an area has Palisade walls encircling it, why cant the walls be used for what they are other than to look at? If a player can drink a Potion of Upward Acceleration and come inside my palisade walls, then whats the use? Walls are for protection, right? So IF I want protection inside MY town, then I have to Ban the player(s) from entering my town period. Which I feel is taking away from some great game play or PvP events. Plus banning a player from your town just for being in a warring guild is not a honorable way to give them a chance to stand outside the town walls and yell obscenities at each other. Is there any way to make it not allowable to jump over Palisade walls? Especially walls bought from the Coto Store.

Those potions are only useful in POTs, as they could be abused in adventure scenes? If so, they should also not function in PVP scenes., or for players currently flagged for PVP. That would make them consistent, and fair.

Those potions are only usable in towns not flagged as PvP.

I don't know that. Have someone try it (QA is good for testing stuff like that).

[edit] I just tried this on QA and yes, you can use those potions while flagged for PvP.

In a world with magic conventional defenses may not be as effective as in a world without.

If you don't want to ban you may have to adjust your strategy and tactics to accommodate.

I have had the Palisade walls well before the potion was placed in the store.

I spent $400 plus dollars to have my POT tactics security well in place.

I would be glad to adjust my strategy if you gave me a $400 reimbursement.

Yeah, that's not how it works. MMORPGs currently operating are always in a state of flux, which will have been covered in the ToS. Unfortunately your PoT tactics and security got fluxed, and you won't be entitled to a refund. They may grant one regardless in an effort to maintain good customer relations, but seeing as they aren't likely flush in cash I wouldn't hold my breath.

Alternatively, they may have not anticipated the issue the potion could bring, so raising it with them may get an adjustment suited to your liking. You may have more luck getting it looked at by directly contacting Chris about it. Good luck with that, as it is no doubt annoying to have spent $400 on something now largely obviable.

Short of the above, you're back to ban or adjust your strategy and tactics to accommodate.

The solution would be anti-climb spikes on the palisade walls. This should be a free upgrade to players who already bought them.

(or free if you buy a palisade wall in month X of 2020)

This a common problem in all fantasy games ... AD&D has had the same problem since its inception ... An "impregnable" fortress with 40-foot tall castle walls manned by 10th-level archers made totally irrelevant by a single 5-level wizard with a fly spell and invisibility ... Or a dragon.

Walls are not for securing or protection. They are there to offer another place for people to stand and dance at dance parties. :)
