Carpentry-made homes (bigger sizes)

Do we know if there will ever be town and city-sized carpentry homes?

The biggest we have is village, and that doesn't really fit a city lot

Please let me know, as it seems silly that we are limited to village-sized homes. I feel that as carpenters, we should be able to craft at least some town and city sized homes - if not just like a bigger, more elaborate log-home or treehouse, etc.

This game really got things around the wrong way with housing. Most houses should be craftable with a small selection for each size purchasable , or perhaps purchasable houses coming with some minor perk like free recall to them and quick exit to the world map .

 

Would be nice to have a few more options that is for sure. That or implement sooner then later the ability for us to place the house anywhere inside the lot which would help with many player design issues.

 

Due to the scarcity/price of wood, nobody I know is making crafted houses. They would just cost to much to recoup costs and bigger houses would only be more expensive to make. In short, crafters won't make them because they don't sell.

But this is why they would be fair to make. Traditional town-sized homes cost a LOT of money in COTOs. Scale the crafted homes to be costly also - but unique to crafting. I think that is quite fair. The log cabin is extremely difficult to craft - but it is a beautiful home. Worth it. And anyone who is a carpenter is doing it out of passion for the craft anyway.

 

I think both. But I’d much rather have craftable homes town and city sized.

 

The New Rustic Antique Shop is Town sized only.
Not sure if they are making a recipe for crafting it. Especially in a Village size, as many cannot afford Town lots.

I will appreciate housing so much more when we can shift housing to the edges of a lot and not in the center.
