Unknown if this is still repeatable....

 

When I said toenail to Tarian, I got the waiting 24 hours message. Said it a second time and it worked.

 

Don't know yet. I'll try again later.

 

Had another person mention this at the 48 hour point, that they couldn't turn it in. I got a question for Sannio about it in chat waiting for when he clocks in for the day.

 

And here's what happens when the trollnail quest is infinitely repeatable and 160k each time.

 

Just finished testing this again. Saying toenail twice makes it work.

 

This was still broken for me as of earlier today. Last turned it in 3 days ago. Saying toenail he just says 'come back tomorrow' and has said so for the last three days. Had a couple of guildmates reporting the same, and another saying he wouldn't even open dialog with them, but then a couple others saying its working fine. So something's definitely hinky. I've said toenail (and every other word I can think of, including some VERY not nice ones) to this guy several times. I'll try again tomorrow.

 

I just tried it again. By saying "toenails" I can manipulate him to open the trade window. Give him toenails and this elicits the absolute correct response, along with 160000 XP. Unfortunately the magic circle is still dead, so no blessing.

 

I did it 4 times this morning.

 

This morning, I logged in, said 'toenails' once, and its now working.
Whether this is due to elapsed time (5 day reset?), something's changed, or he just likes my outfit better today, I do not know.

Is the buff working for you? After the last change, I got the buff once and then I couldn't get it anymore.

 

The thing didn't light up, but if i jump around on the ritual area it eventually turned on, I could get the buff, yes.

 

I jumped all over that thing and couldn't get it.

 

Same. No VFX, no blessing. I was previously not getting VFX for the blessing either, but would still get the blessing if I stood in the pentagram.

 

Managed to get stuck in the wall jumping around, though.

I got the blessing this morning. Took the usual rigmarole to get him to talk to me, "toenails" brought up the trade window, delivered OK,,,,, and coincidentally someone else was standing on the enchanting circle. And it lit up! So I guess we were both blessed


Maybe take a friend....

 

Yes, perhaps it has something to do with the time of day, or celestial alignment, or maybe just how drunk that NPC is, that determines if the blessing is available or not.

Seriously though, I don't particularly want that blessing, so I don't usually check, but I happened to be running around his house stealing alchemy deco (don't judge me) and it lit up when I walked over it. No idea. Maybe try taking his stuff.
