Would appreciate your feedback, because I cannot really tell on some of these...

65 RED TITLES can no longer be obtained and are only applicable to original RMT donors.
8 PURPLE TITLES are for PVP and are not really obtainable for an average player now.

8 BLUE TITLES are for participation in programs, which of these are still achievable?
5 PINK TITLES are available to players that pay subscriptions or early release of EP2.
3 HOT PINK TITLES are available for the common players with no RMT , PVP. or program.

I realize that there are many important things to fix, but this was a little scary to me when I actually took the time to do the numbers.

Here's the question I would ask concerning new players:

Who would want to commit time to a game that 80-90% of the titles as an example, will never be achievable?

Could this be fixed? It appears that @Elgarion has some new titles in some of the upcoming and ongoing events that are in the works...

There's "Chaotic of New Brittania" as well, that I've seen some people with, although it seems to be awarded randomly by Darkstarr pre-persistence, haven't heard of anyone getting it in recent years.

Also, as a POT owner and female character, I just have Governer, not Governess ...I don't mind overmuch, but doesn't seem that Governess is a thing.

Its fine to have all this early exclusive stuff, but some current ones are sorely needed.

A few years back when I was adding the factions module to RPOTA.COM, I spent a day pouring through all my table-top RP manuals an going to many medieval lore websites to accumulate this list. It also includes many if not all of the existing titles. There has been discussion of titles in chat of late with me and @Sannio, but no promises or ETA. They'd make great quest rewards and achievement awards for sure. For entertainment purposes only, here's my list -- no idea if there'll be nibbles from this list or not ;)

This is great news, honestly, Titles are such a simple thing, yet allow for customization that makes people very happy. The fact that some very basic titles like "Lady" are pledge only is something that bums me out so bad though...

    That is an awesome list...

    I hope soon on many...

I also hope that some quirky random titles pop up...based on daily, weekly, monthly data...one and done (you got the title, you are off the list of recipients)

It would be nice to inspire exploring, shopping, etc.

    Something for:
    Used Most Potions
    Most scrolls used
Most Fishing casts without catching a fish
Most consecutive crafting fails with over 90% success rate
    Most zones entered
    Most purchases in different towns
    Most item types purchased
Most reagents used - casting spells
    Most deco items moved
    Most individual Deco items purchased

And what Title List would be complete without the Title of Grand Poobah, for he or she with the most titles or a substantial quantitative metric?

you probably mean this as "one who sews" but that's not how it's turning out.

    Two more for the list:

    Cinematic Visionary 2017
    Professor of Arcane Knowledge 2017

Both for the video contests featured in 2017, first for a cinematic trailer (second contest of its type) and the other for the video tutorial series.

Hehee, I didn't make them up -- some did sound a little weird. But hey! If it was on the internet, it must be a real medieval title right? :p (Or if it came from a medieval themed table-top RPG)

On that note -- Sewer Rat might be a fun one to get after completing a quest in a sewer.

Oh no worries, that list isn't a list of the names we're putting it, as stated, sharing for entertainment purposes, that was the list I came up with for rpota a few years back. But yes, I think we can start taking suggestions at some point. Ideally, we'll be looking to provide titles to quests that everyone can receive, but sure -- perhaps special recognition titles could return one day. Also no ETA or definites on that. Just wanted to mention that titles are on the radar ;)

While I think we need some standard achievement based titles, such as for killing certain types of things, mning your 10,00th ore, achieving certain levels in skills or combinations of skills, etc. I'd love to see quirky ways to earn titles as well. Just as an example - meowing at all the cat npcs in various towns unlocking Crazy Cat Lady. Not a serious suggestion. Well, maybe it is.

At the very least, a lot of those could be awarded for GMing some skills. Maybe something like gm in one skill in a tree gets you a title (like "Archer" for ranged) gm half the skills in a tree and get a "Master" title (Master Archer), gm all the skills and get a "Grandmaster" title.

Actually, maybe more like 1/3/6 (or whatever) instead of 1/half/all. It'd be dumb to lose your title because a new skill got added to a tree.

Nice, wake me up when you add “Pirate Captain”.

This should have been awarded to all of us that purchased/stole/re appropriated a town/city water lot and the matching pirate ship.

Let’s add “Legendary (Warrior/Mage/Archer for those with a corresponding skill of 160 or higher. You can or could have “purchased” most titles so how about those that earned it with hard work.

    “Grins”

In medieval times you would have different roles for men and women, which makes it difficult to have a modern day male/female equivalent title that makes sense. Such as woman only roles like seamstress or needlewoman.

@Elgarion, perhaps instead of Sewer it could be Needleworker or Garment Maker instead.

Also I think any new titles should be obtainable and open to everyone to collect. You could make some titles harder to obtain then others, but please don’t make them impossible to get because of some past event that will not happen again.

I think there are a lot that could tie into @majoria70 big wish list for achievements as well. She’s our biggest advocate for achievements and rewards for everyone. I like her ideas she’s posted in various threads regarding the matter.

Hahaa, indeed! But please, I was just sharing a list of stuff I did from a long time ago, again -- for entertainment purposes only :p Perhaps it was my mistake to do so. But I can see you guys are excited about titles!

Sannio's learning the tech for it, and once that goes into place - I'll start a new thread, a list of all current and suggested titles will be in it, and you guys can suggest new ones from that thread.

And titles that have varying difficulty -- cool idea for sure! I bet some quests will be harder than others. And who knows what'll happen when achievements come along.

Always fun to theory craft this, but give us time to get on top of it. Even my dailies I'm working on -- it'd be cool if I included some titles as a reward if they could come up with a counter to see how often you did that particular daily. I'd have to inquire on that.

But again, I'm just commenting a bit on titles. I don't make the fancy stuff. That's the guys in the other room. But fingers crossed I can dive into this with you guys soon ;)
