10/5 Crown Shop Updates

The Crown Shop is packed with new items this week including an Ornate Shogun Crossbow, Fire Breathing Dragon Statues in a range of sizes, and Remote Dungeon Entrances! Also don't forget that Spooky Seasonal Recurring items are back for a limited time until November 8! We are continuing the spooky theme for the Vault with another round of expired spooky items and livestream spooky items!

• Ornate Shogun Crossbow: The Ornate Shogun Crossbow is our latest addition to our Crown Shop ranged weapons arsenal and is a beautiful example of Shogun design.
• Fire Breathing Dragon Statues: The popular September login reward of the Foyer sized Fire Breathing Dragon Statue is now available in a wide variety of other sizes in the Crown Shop, ranging from Desktop all the way up to Keep sized!
• Remote Dungeon Entrances: Player Owned Town owners and Lot Owners now have the option to place a Remote Dungeon Entrance on their property! This entrance allows direct access to the designated Dungeon area from the property it is placed on. Please note that these items are quite large so you will need a large amount of space for placement. The first three entrances in the Crown Shop are The Rise, Tartarus, and Ravensmoor.
• Spooky Seasonal Recurring Items: With Halloween coming up we have brought back all of the Spooky Seasonal Recurring items to the Crown Shop for a limited time! Get them before they expire again until next year on November 8!

Does this mean that an entrance can be placed in a POT (not on a lot) and take you to a dungeon on one of the properties? Or, placed on one property but take you to a dungeon on another property?

 

They are not for player dungeons, they are specific to world dungeons.
Looks like they are supposed to be placed on Pot area, or on Lots either one

 

Unfortunately they are heritage *sigh* so won't buy them at that price point. Otherwise I'd be all over those dungeon entrances.

 

Teleporter to the Rise is not a heritage item.

 

These dungeon entrances are way too expensive guys. They look great and it is a really cool idea, but tone down the $ of the crown store items these and the mannequins, even the row lot conversion to empty (try and explain the reason for that to a new player). I just got a friend in to play and he was very alarmed at the price of these and vault items. I tried to explain the vault, but he just decided to not spend money instead. No one charges $50 for a personal teleporter.

 

I pay less for most games. For instance, I think I paid $35 for Pillars of Eternity 2. That's all I paid. Of course you don't have to pay for SotA but some people might want to get some of the fun items. The days of whale-spending in hopes that it will help make this game a success are long over.

 

A/B testing to see if the non-heritage outperforms heritage by a significant margin I suspect.

It didn't have to be, but when you keep devaluing your own product, the end result is you become the 99 cent store.

High Value Stuff / The Great CF Vendor quartering - Vault (Rares gone) - Heritage = 99 cents. Unfortunately that's going to have to be the new pricing model I think.

 

The dungeon entrances are beautiful but i would like them in smaller versions and much less expensive . Smaller because i run out of buildable land in my POT and current POT templates only offer about 20% of the total map size as buildable land area .We need new pot templates that offer 100% buildable land so we can fit all this great stuff you have in store .

I own a pot but I can’t place the Ravensmoor dungeon entrance. Isn’t it supposed to be placed somewhere in a pot area? Descriptions says nothing contrary rather indicates that it should be placeable for pot owners. Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks. @Elgarion @DarkStarr

 

I also own a POT and i'm able to place the Ravensmoor Dungeon Entrance on POT-Land.
Maybe it is a biome problem ?
The Biome i have in Hammaburg is Forest 02

 

Thanks for confirming that it is possible. So I must have done something wrong and will try again. Bravehaven is the island biome and there is a lot of space.

 

Got it, external lights limit was exeeded.
