So, you'd be able to straight up buy xp? That doesn't feel hinky at all.

Just opened a bag and got a book of learning which is apparently the physical reward instead of just opening a bag and getting adventure and crafting xp. Now you get a book of learning and when you read it you get the xp.

I did notice that the full name was Book of Learning, Common. I can't wait to see what happens if someone tries to combine 4 of them ..

Since they award xp based on the bundle color, does that maybe refer to the xp level?

@Feldon Grimshaw I didn't notice that the books had value.

I guess that means they can be sold which probably isn't a great thing.

He already did it, today I open 50 blue ones, ~200 yellow and 8 orange one and get almost nothing worth. No deed no rare arts. (generally, had only 2 arts worth more then 20k lol)
10-25k XP from orange one is a big joke. You can easily get zero orange one even if you had 8 hours marathon. And even after this it drops nothing.

The xp's contained are so pitifully small that they sure won't sell for much... plus, who cares if somebody sells this crap.

Good luck collecting enough books of learning in order to make a dent in anyone's experience pool.

So... something that even at the grey level has a <.01% chance to drop, produces less xp than it takes to play the game for a minute or three, and people are worried about it allowing people to pay to win (buy themselves some hot xp)?

    *sighs*

If you mean the xps books I bought and looted 70 of them (grey) and then opened them one after the other and got a drop rate of 20%.
Out of 14 books I recived
    2 rare
    4 uncommon
    8 common

The xp book drop rate from the loot bundles might be 20% but the drop rate for the bundles themselves is ridiculously low. That is the rate I am talking about.

When I clicked the thread it only showed your one post so I may have missed a bit of the convo=).
But yes bundle drops are insanely low and almost non existant for me and when they do drop they dont even give vendor trash.
So It's nice to occasionally get something I dont have to delete In a bundle but as a way to get ahead in the game it's pointless compared to other forms of easy xp.
That said I have no idea about books from higher level bundles as I have only seen grey and yellow and the yellows only on a vendor so perhaps the high end books could lead to a pay to win dynamic but I'm guessing not.
Now if you could vendor the new producer xp rewards then....

Even if you could, the number that would exist would be so insanely low that it shouldn't really matter, as you would have to spend millions of gold for less xp than a decent CP or Upper Tears run would get you
