Please add a way for the party (group) leader to designate successors.

We need an option in the Party Menu where the current party leader can choose the order of succession with up to 3 group members in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to become the party leader if the current leader crashes or leaves the group.

    ----------

Please also add a way for players to change the party (group) leader.

We need some way for group members to select a new party leader when the current leader is unresponsive.

Add an option in the Party Menu where any group member can nominate themself for leader. If 3 other group members approve the nomination, the current party leader gets a notification with a 10 minute countdown timer to decline the change. If the current leader does not decline, the nominee becomes the new party leader.

Why not just create a new party?
If the lead is off then tell the members about a new party, drop, create a new party and the rest can join.

Getting everyone into a new party is sort of like herding cats.

    Edit:
Also, creating a new party would leave the old party on "Looking For Group" with an unresponsive leader.
It's really annoying to join a group and then realize that it's not active because the leader is not responding.
We need a solution like the OP that clears up inactive groups.
