Collectors Coin

What will you be using your collectors coin for?
Personally I'll be using it as a card protector while playing poker, I'm sure you others have more imagination.

 

I want a minted Codex coin, damn it! Or at least a LB gold piece (like what Oblivion had

Or... I dunno, how bout that cool looking Chaos symbol design. Something game related!

 

I'm giving mine away, along with most of the physical items from my pledge. Since I'm not doing my Founder pledge gifts below cost like others, I wanted a way to reward those who were kindly using me for to get Founder status.

 

I have the rickety old coffee table that i can't just level, tetters to the left and rigth when i put my drink on it. Maybe this coin under the back right leg will do the trick

 

I collect gold and silver bullion/coins but even though this isn't either, I'll still keep it as a collector's piece. Put it up with the rest of my collection.

 

Whenever the one I bought from the store ships and turns up, I'll likely place it the same place I put my Fellowship medallion..

... I wonder where that is.

 

Hmm... That brings the same question to my mind as well.

Mine is probably in the original U7 box I have on the shelf, I should consider checking on that.

 

I will forget about it and it will somehow end up in a jar full of coins. In a couple years I'll find it again while standing in front of a Coinstar machine. I'll put it in my pocket with the crushed penny souvenirs and chuck e cheese coins and try to remember to put it up somewhere safe. However, most likely I'll leave in my pants and it'll be washed with the rest of my laundry. When emptying the dryer the coin will fall out and roll under the washer. As usual, I won't think twice about it because I'll just assume it was a nickle or something. The coin will rot there for 4 years until I have to replace the washer. At that point, I won't see the coin but my wife will and will throw it away with the rest of the trash and lint that has slowly built up over the years. It's going to be awesome.

 

That is both painful to read and amusingly likely for many XD

 

I'll carry mine in my pocket for a very long time, I'd bet.

 

Man, that just makes me a sad panda. Having gone through the pain of some childhood mementos and rare possessions being thrown out or sold by inadvertent parents, I'm so cautious with certain things to not only ensure they're kept safely, but that anyone that has access to them knows their personal intrinsic value to me.

Some things are worth next to nothing financially, but are priceless for the memories they contain. All of my Ultima collection (sigh, even including the painful ones of the U:IX Dragon Edition) falls into this category.
