Lol, I was thinking that this was gonna be like a game show challenge thread.

People posting pictures of themselves in hard to reach places.

Can *anyone* see my images? Let me double-check that I've been posting them the same way the whole time because others have been able to see them in other threads...

EDITED to say that as far as I can tell I've been posting them the same way the whole time (upload it to Facebook with permissions set to "Only Me" so I don't clutter up everyone's timeline, then just post the image URL), so I'm confused as to why some would not be able to see them.

If you have high hp you can ride the vortex up there...other than that you can walk around the rocks on one side and take the ladders up. Its not well known how to get up there. I did it first time on the vortex. That hurts btw.

I searched and searched and could never find any ladders! You don't happen to have a screenshot or coordinates do you?

Look for as mentioned a vortex that when stood on it raises you up into the air. I'm not in game at the moment but climbing is also pretty good in most areas. Jump settings can be adjusted in your options. I like the charge up one then use w or mouse.point to direct yourself toward where you want to jump.

We also have ability to jump on floating logs or mine carts to take a ride.

I don't think there's a way up there by ladders. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the dust devil jump is the only way. Anpu's link shows you exactly where you need to be.

Here are the two methods to get up on the mesas (the links show you how to achieve each option). Note: both of these methods are accomplished from the area just inside the west entrance to the zone.
    1) Ride the whirlwind
    2) Reach for the ladder

I have not been in that zone for a while. I know there was a bug in which the whirlwind did not generate the high leap, and I am not sure if it was ever fixed.
The "reach for the ladder" option was likely unintentional, so I am not sure if this was ever removed, but it's still worth a try.

You can get up there by "climbing" the cliff "Jump from one outcrop to another. It's been awhile since I did that, but there are a couple of places. If I remember right there's a wooden walkway that does have ladders to the top. Jumping up to the walkway is I think the easiest way.

Rinaldi's "Reach for the Ladder" - if I remember right, you jump while under the ladder and d-click that ladder while jumping.

the default entrance to the zone will bring you out just near that area you want to reach. Follow the path to a cropping of rocks to the right. If you snug close to those rocks and around half way you can jump up the rocks and near an edge that has a ladder that hangs down. Once you take the ladder you will have some catwalks to other ladders to reach the top. This is a good place for silver and also one of the monoliths that you trigger to open the cavern door by the lava. Sorry i dont know how to add spoliers. But yes Rinaldi had a great link

The votrex still will lift you when you jump but does alot of damage now.
