Maps for noobie areas.

I don't think it's unreasonable that maps for the outskirt quest and starter areas should be top priority right now.

Once those levels everybody grinds into oblivion have maps, this is obviously the next step.

I've seen quite a few people saying this in Universe chat, so I think a lot of people want this.

 

outskirts first and all areas the main quests take you too.

I don’t recall any of the outskirts not having maps?

 

Last I checked they didn't right now, since the map system transition. I'll check if this is already addressed, though. The latest release had a TON of maps added, those might have been included.

 

I started a new character about a year ago and there were definitely maps in the outskirts.

 

Even when I did my 3 outskirts guides a while back they all had maps. I think you just haven’t checked in a very long time....

The older ones were in a drawn/artsy style. The new ones are made by slewing way up and grabbing an image of the actual scene. (I suppose the devs can probably just move the camera up and not actually slew. Chris had mentioned possibly getting players involved by letting a select few slew in QA so they could help with compiling map images.) If outskirts are missing maps now (assuming that's true) it may be they plan to replace old maps with new ones so that they all match stylistically.

 

Actually, the Blood River Massacre scene map doesn't exist.
