    Details / Steps to Reproduce:

After Esmeralda talks about the "first step", the keyword "ghostly echo" appears.
At this point we haven't heard about or seen a ghostly echo. So it shouldn't.
This keyword should appear after we went through the next mystical looking-glass on the east or south wall of the "Mystical Looking-Glass collection" room.

Also the 2nd and 3d mystical looking glasses should be sealed until we did the quest for Esmeralda!

    Summery for this bug report:
2nd and 3rd mystical looking glasses in the Mystical Looking-Glass collection should be sealed,
    until we get the
    - Frostgeist Hexe Core (--> opens 3d at the south wall)
    - Elder Frostgeist Skull (--> opens 2nd at the east wall)

The "ghostly echo" keyword won't appear until we met the first ghostly echo!
(Which is mostly this one infront of the Cabin, where we find the note for Hyla).

    [SPOILER!]
To make it more clear here the complete way to do the Esmeralda Quest:

    1. Esmeralda tells about mysterious lights.
    2. We climb up the Chapel Steeple and find a mystical looking-glass (ml-g)

    3. We go back to Esmeralda and tell her about.
3.1 She asks us to enter the abandoned part of the monastery to receive a frost geist skull
3.2 She gathers an essence, which grants access to the mystical looking-glass (ml-g) on the Chapel Steeple
3.3 Through the Chapel Steeple ml-g we enter the "Mystical Looking-Glass collection" room.
--> this works fine! [referring to this Bug Report about the first magical looging-glass]

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Now the bug parts:

4.1 There are two ml-g on the east wall, one on the south wall, a last one on the west wall (floor/ceiling).
IMPORTANT: at this moment, ony the 1. ml-g, which is the connection to the Chapel Steeple should be accessible!

The 2. ml-g on the east wall (leading to CABIN near the Elf Camp),
the 3. ml-g to the south (leading to the Six Point Ranch) and
the 4. ml-g to the west (floor/ceiling, leading to the Geistesser)
shouldn't be accessible yet, because therefore we need other essences later -
Step 3 Frostgeist Hexe Core and Elder Frostgeist Skull.

The 4. ml-g works correctly - it is sealed, until we finished step 3!

4.2 The 1. ml-g on the east wall ist the entrance coming from the Chapel Steeple leading into the "Mystical Looking-Glass Collection" room.

    5. Esmeralda tells us about "step 3":
We need an essence of a Frostgeist Hexe and
    also an Elder Frostgeist Skull.

Esmeralda tells us to search at Six Point Ranch and bring it back to her.

5.1 At this point we have to travel by foot and find the Six Point Ranch.
5.2 We kill a Frostgeist Hexe to get the Frostgeist Hexe Core.
5.3 We kill an Elder Frostgeist to get his skull
(not both necessarily at the same time! May be we get just one - that's okay and the order is no problem for solving the quest).

5.4.1 Back to Esmeralda she gathers from the Frostgeist Hexe core another essence.
Now we can enter the 3. ml-g on the south wall in the "Mystical Looking-Glass" collection leading directly to the Six Point Ranch[/SPOILER].

(In a nearby hut we find stuff, Lieutenant Simone is asking for to bring for refugee)
It is also possible to get in touch with a ghostly echo up the hill at the Six Point Ranch.

5.4.2 Esmeralda also gathers an essence from the Elder Frostgeist Skull, which opens the 2. ml-g on the east wall, which leads to the Mystical Looking-Glass CABIN near the Elf Camp.

Here we meet a Ghostly Echo directly infront of the door (inside the Cabin is the Note for Hyla (= Rebecca) from her dad Michael).

After we saw a ghostly echo for the first time, we should get the keyword "ghostly echo" when we are back at Esmeralda.

From now it is more easy: We can just teleport back through the ml-g in the hut at Six Point Ranch or inside the Cabin near the Elf camp back to the "Mystical Looking-Glass collection".

Here we go through the 1. ml-g (east wall) --> Chapel Steeple, downstairs, back to Esmeralda.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From here the quest works fine!!! (following just for information and complete understanding).

The 3d step includes also to find all 4 ghostly echoes.
When meeting the 4th. ghostly echo, it recognizes us and speaks to us, who is the connection to the Geist-Esser (Captain Burnes) and we receive an item from him, which is be used by Esmeralda to open the last ml-g in the Mystical Looking-Glass collection (floor/ceiling).

    6. Esmeralda is telling about the last ml-g in the Mystical Looking-Glass collection and the Geist-Esser.
6.1 We go back to the Chapel Steeple, 1. ml-g --> Mystical Looking-Glass collection.
6.2. Enter the floor/ceiling Glass. Killing the Geistesser (and free Captain Burnes).
    6.3 Talk to Esmeralda
    6.4 Talk to Captain Burnes

    Summery for this bug report:
2nd and 3rd mystical looking glasses in the Mystical Looking-Glass collection should be sealed,
    until we get the
    - Frostgeist Hexe Core (--> opens 3d at the south wall)
    - Elder Frostgeist Skull (--> opens 2nd at the east wall)

The "ghostly echo" keyword won't appear until we met the first ghostly echo!
(Which is mostly this one infront of the Cabin, where we find the note for Hyla).

    I hope, this is understandable, @Sannio :)

It's the only outskirts section where it has bugs in the main questline (banner).
I tested all three Outskirts with two Chars last days.

I think you are missing that you can proceed through those quests in multiple ways.

Also what is missing are the 4 different state checks on the ghostly echoes depending on what the player has already done. They may or may not have such a function to do that though (?)

Of course there are different ways. We don't need to use the mystical looking-glasses for fast travelling (but it makes life more comfortable:) ).
Only the first and the last looking-glass is needed to face the Geistesser at the end.

There are logical steps, which Esmeralda tells.
As I wrote above: the summery fits with the given Instructions from Esmeralda (aka quest writer Puuk).

It makes no sense, if Esmeralda tells us to get the Frost Geist Hexe core and Elder Frost Geist Skull to gain an elixier to open the sealed two glasses, if they are unsealed from beginning.

And the keyword "ghostly echo" needs at least one encounter with one of them.

There is no order to find them, it's just important to find all 4.
The last one tells the story and gives the item for Esmeralda to unseal the last mystical looking-glass on the floor/ceiling.
This part of the quest works fine.
