Testing Directive Feedback: Unity 2018 update

    We have (once again) upgraded the QA Server with an update to Unity 2018. There is a Testing Directive posted here. We are looking for feedback and bug reports. Please use this thread for feedback only.

    Please post QA bugs as normal in the appropriate forum, making especially sure that the /devbug command is used. (This is critical as the Debug and template output included tell is about the patch level and other critical info)

    i tested all the ways linux seemed broken on the previous upgrade attempts. all clear from me.

    Load of the game took the normal amount of time
    All POT animal spawners spawned correctly
    Banker other POT NPC's seem to work fine.
    All in POT teleporters working builtin and addons
    basement access fine in every basement I tried.
    No abnormal lighting effects.
    So far everything in PaxLair POT seems normal.
    Tried /U chat, but no one on yet
    other chat functions seem normal
    Heading out to do mining and hunting.

    Report 2:
    Zone teleporters working fine.
    Recall scrolls working fine
    Ran thru a siege, defeated Cabal, all worked as it should
    No issues with a pet in combat
    Plains encounter...no issues

    Overall om debug I had 22 warnings zero Errors and constantly in 59-60 FPS

    Hi ya.
    I did some testing with Gwendolyn Obscuro (we were in a party together) and we found:
    1. Local, Zone, Whisper, Party, Universal, and Trade chats all worked (could not test Nobel or Guild chat).
    2. The town teleport signs seem to work fine for both of us when we were in the same POT together.
    3. The wagon and boat teleporters inside a town seemed to work fine.
    4. We were able to see each other's emotes (and also see ourselves do the emotes).
    5. In a POT together, we were both able to jump with no problem.
    6. Chat window seems to work fine (both when interacting with NPCs and other players).

    With no one else in the scenes (and not in a party), the following all worked:
    1. Went and killed some skeletons and had no trouble looting them (no one else in the zone tho).
    2. While killing, I noticed no trouble with the skills I used.
    3. I was able to harvest many types of nodes in various scenes.
    4. no obvious graphical or GUI glitches
    5. Overworld encounters seem to work fine.
    6. Overworld boats and galleons (to travel to other overworld areas) worked fine.
    7. Teleport to friend scroll, teleport to zone scroll, and recall scroll all worked fine.
    8. In-town teleporters to zone worked fine (e.g. teleporters to owls head, ardoris, tartarus, etc).
    9. Death and resurrection at an ankh worked fine
    10. Getting the in-town devotionals seemed to work fine.
    11. food buffs worked fine
    12. No problems with summoned elementals. Also, they do dance emote correctly.
    13. Interacting with oracle and doing daily reward worked fine.
    14. deco seemed to work fine; however, the error text that occurs when you are trying to place deco is so small that I can hardly read it.

    Not sure if this would be influenced by a unity change, but the flamey effects still persist after nightmare dismount (so person sorta looks like a centaur)

    I did a quest reset and finished the (quest reset version) of Battle of Solace bridge with no issues. Then I completed the first half of all the quests in Solace bridge outskirts without any issues. And I checked and confirmed the quests were giving gold, adv xp and crafting xp as stated in the dialogue window. Seems fine so far!

    Did some testing of chat with Rinaldi as he listed above.
    Jumped in 2 fountains and got tamer 3-day buff
    Ate 4 foods and tested zone and recall scrolls as well as just running on overworld to locations
    Tested combat in Ulfheim, Ravensmoor and Upper Tears (got loot I'd prefer to have on live, but that's the way it goes :) )
    Harvested a variety of resources
    Crafted a few things
    Placed various deco, including some that were not previously placeable!

    So far so good!

    Things seem normal for me (usually pretty stable), including combat animations, load times, system resource use.
    I've specifically tested:
    Looting of some undead (skeletons in Ravensmoor and Despair, liches in Despair)
    Universal chat (sent and received)
    Depositing/retrieving from bank in different towns
    Purchasing single items and multiple items from player and NPC vendors
    Filling/Creating buy orders, selling to NPC vendors
    Listing/Reclaiming items on commissioned and commission free vendors
    Signpost traveling on and off horseback
    Renaming NPCs
    Moving/placing deco on lot, in dungeon
    Sending a dungeon to bank and rebuilding a dungeon
    Crafting an item at each crafting station (regular table versions, not +5)
    Deckswaps with radical gear changes

    This is not a double posting. The Patch notes, Directives and other announcements are read only. I am providing a directed thread for feedback so folks do not start 100 different threads that the moderators would have to merge together (or they could be completely missed and fall through the cracks). This is also done for other read only type posts such as certain tutorials and blogs.

    MalwarBytes caught a UnityModManager as a malware, so I've quarantined it. Is this part of the package?
