There is so much news about power and water outrages in Texas due to the Massive amount of snow. I just wanted you to know we are all (right all?) praying you your safety and hope warmer weather and rain happens soon.

Just FYI:

Good morning from Austin! We are all safe and I think we all have power back now but are dealing with new issues. Water is out for pretty much everyone in Austin, some for 5+ days. Also, grocery stores are all nearly empty and have 4-6 hour waits. I'm dealing with both no tap water and spotty internet issues but otherwise we're fine. We've got months of food and water and not in real danger, just dirty and tired. Might have to cancel the stream tonight due internet issues but if not, no making fun of the dirty hair due to no shower!

Yeah, it was/is pretty bad. We were completely without water and power for 4 1/2 days. We got water back last night and only got power back this morning. I spent a lot of time gathering ice and snow to melt on the grill so we could flush toilets and then huddling under blankets to keep warm. When things got too cold, we'd take breaks to warm up in our van and recharge our phones. Our house got down to 46 degrees and our cats were not too pleased.
