    I just had the same issue occur for my Nightmare. I thought I had rezzed it and zoned out but then it became green and untradeable.

    this would not have been sellable to an npc if it were no-trade, so it must have acquired the no-trade flag after, when it was added to the loot table or when it dropped?

    Details: When a pet is lost, not just killed" from a taming necklace, It is labeled with a no-trade restriction and not be given to another player. only stored or discarded.
    Steps to Reproduce: Let a pet die and wait for it to disappear without rezzing it.

    a tip untill it gets fixed is to tame a pet into the necklace and trade the that it can be any creature like a sheep if you have no taming skills you will need a taming collar.
